"I Formed Borts Minorts in 2006 after being bored by singing in punk and metal bands for 20 years. Borts Minorts was a way for me to channel the raw power and energy that I used as a front man in rock bands, into something way more freaky and creative. Borts was also a way for me to explore love for modern dance. I was fascinated by the concept of trying to make modern dance punk rock and by putting it in the setting of hard rock clubs. This experiment became quickly very popular in San Francisco. In our 2 year SF life, we were nominated 2 years in a row for BEST EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC in the SF Weekly Music Awards. We played music festivals in Chicago, Arizona and played gigs in LA and did a small tour of 4 French cities. (Marseille, Paris, Nantes and Bordeaux). I then moved to New York City in 2009 and began a whole new line up tapping into the amazing NYC dance scene with new dancers and new players. In the last year, Borts has been in a cacoon but is now waking from a deep sleep for further adventures."
