Sean Bonnette
Sean Bonnette's songs are burdened with the weight of lyrics bordered between serious and stupid as fuck. There is a simple ethos behind his songs. Hats off to Bonnette for analyzing himself as well as he does in his songs. That’s exactly what he --and also Andrew Jackson Jihad-- are: the band who you think of as the wackiest bastards on the planet as you ready yourself to weep to their song.
His songs step back and forth on that blurry line of Bonnette’s that circles some ugly drain of humour, sarcasm and full-on seriousness.
“the things that I have seen are turning me into a shitty human being.”
So yeah, you can believe Bonnette hitting both ends of the spectrum: psyched enough to physically take his demons and ruin them (and what a hilarious turn of phrase), but just as hopelessly aware of being ruined for life.
Once again trying to figure everything out for himself through his song: Bonnette might call his music one thing and then another, and in his songs he travels between two opposites, unsure of whether to root for his opposite or loathe them completely.

Andrew Jackson Jihad is an American folk punk band from Phoenix, Arizona, formed in 2004.
Andrew Jackson Jihad has obtained much coverage for their lyricism, which often covers themes of social anxiety, poverty, humanity, religion, existentialism, and politics, as well as "serial killers, cigarettes, child abuse, and a vengeful Jesus".
Andrew Jackson Jihad (or AJJ) is one of the most influential folk punk bands today, with some of the most wonderfully cynical lyrics ever written.

Jeff Rosenstock
Jeff Rosenstock is the singer/songwriter for Bomb the Music Industry! and was the singer/songwriter for The Arrogant Sons of Bitches (1995 - 2004). Both these bands’ songs are free via Quote Unquote Records ("The First Ever Donation Based Record Label"), a label Jeff founded that has released something like 60 albums.
Bomb the Music Industry! (commonly abbreviated as BtMI!) is a band from Baldwin, Nassau County, New York. They write, produce, record, and distribute all of their music under the leadership of songwriter and producer Jeff Rosenstock.
The band is known for their DIY punk ethic, embodied in actions such as distributing six albums worth of their own material for free on their website, and offering free stencils and paint for fans to create their own T-shirts.
Over time, the band's lineup shifted from "pretty much a free-for-all" to a fairly steady five-member lineup. In 2012, the band announced an indefinite hiatus, stating that their summer US tour would likely be their last because "the 9 - 10 months of our lives when we are not playing music are not fantastic." They added, "We are beautiful complicated fucking snowflakes that blow wherever the wind takes us and you better fucking respect that shit, maaaan". However, as of November 25 2012, Bomb The Music Industry! has a tour listed on their website for the end of 2012.
BTMI recordings have been featured on television shows such as Weeds and The Office.

Hard Girls
Morgan, Mike, Max
Hard Girls have a lot to live up to. The three members represent most of San Jose's unsung punk rock heroes Shinobu and Pteradon who have continued to live in the town. They also represent 3/4 of Jesse Michaels' new band, Classics of Love. Not surprisingly, their first EP is totally awesome and lives up to the precedent that has been set forth, mixing minimal sunny indie rock with furious spastic punk rock and everything between. Very fucking awesome!

Max and Morgan were in Pteradon, Mike was in Shinobu, now all three are in Hard Girls. In fact, they are Hard Girls. If you add Jesse, then you get Classics of Love. But this one is Hard Girls.

Dog Party
The Giles sisters, Gwendolyn on guitar and Lucy on drums (ages 14 & 17, maybe 15 and 17 now) are a two piece rock n roll band from Sacramento CA's burgeoning music scene.
What keeps music fresh? What makes music good?
energy? emotion? originality? melody? spontaneity?
Well, lucky for us, a little band from Sacramento has wrapped all those things into a rockin' little package for us to enjoy!
Gwendolyn and Lucy Giles have been making music around Northern California for a couple of years now, and when they're not juggling school, sports, pets, life, or tearing up the hill at Squaw Valley USA,
they are busy writing, recording, and playing some of the freshest, most exciting fun rock n roll around!
P.A.R.T.Y.!!! is the second release, and first full length recording by Dog Party!
and P.A.R.T.Y. is what you can't help but do when you hear this record! Dance fueled energy, catchy hooks, and clever lyrics that make balloons, cake and party games seem almost boring! Every minute is a party when P.A.R.T.Y.!!! is playing...we dare you not to tap your feet, challenge you not to sing along on the second listen, and will be in awe if you are NOT in the mood to P.A.R.T.Y. along with Dog Party and their amazing, positive brand of rock!
