Sallie Ford And The Sound Outside
Sallie Ford, Tyler Tornfelt, Ford Tennis and Jeff Munger.
Sallie Ford and the Sound Outside is an American rock band from Portland, Oregon. The band has been described as "Rockabilly", or as having a "raw soul" 1950s rock-and-roll energy sound.

“What have these people done to music?” wails Sallie Ford on Dirty Radio‘s explosive opener, “I Swear.” She’s raging against sound-alike pop stars foisted on the public by mainstream media, but it’s a question worth putting to the interrogators, too. The answer: Sallie Ford & The Sound Outside vigorously mines a sweet spot between modern and vintage. Sallie’s voice has elicited comparisons to classic jazz and blues icons, yet it is stoked with the fire of youth and rebellion, too, an instrument capable of conveying raw emotion and nuanced artistry in the same breath.
Since 2008, Sallie Ford & The Sound Outside has been intertwining elements of swinging roots rock, country, jazz, and blues with a contemporary lyrical stance and Ford’s instantly recognizable voice. The Portland quartet has steadily ascended through the ranks, earning a growing following throughout the Pacific Northwest. Ardent evangelizing by nationally-recognized peers like the Avett Brothers has augmented that momentum. Now, with the release of Dirty Radio, Sallie Ford & The Sound Outside offers the most fully-realized example of its aesthetic yet.

Wooden Indian Burial Ground
Justin, Paul, Perry, Dan
Wooden Indian Burial Ground is a 4 piece psych/garage outfit from Portland Oregon. Happy to take influence from grey skies, early sci-fi novels, fuzz pedals and homemade drone boxes, WIBG formed as a duo in Portland, Oregon in 2008. Soon after they took sail in a rickety ship called “The Blue Whale”, making a glorious racket across the united states and releasing an 11 track album of drunken-funeral-folk tunes in 2009 entitled “My Bones They Are Naked”. Since the band has grown in numbers and signed with MON AMIE RECORDS of Brooklyn, NY in 2011. A two song, 16 minute/45 rpm/10” entitled “Sunbeams and the Cosmic Ascent to Nowheresville” is now available, and a self titled LP will be released on Vinyl and cassette Early Oct. 2012.

The Down Dirty Shake

Sounds Like: The Velvet Underground, Otis Redding, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, The Animals, The Doors

The Down Dirty Shake is a rock n roll band based out of San Francisco. Formed in 2006 by the founding four members in their hometown of Merced CA. The group is deeply influenced by the soul that was the 60's, and the central valley blues. It's very apparent in the music that they sound nothing like today’s bands. The Shake has put out two self produced albums, a self-titled in 2011 and a live album from the Hopmunk Tavern in early 2012. As heard on the album the boys pride themselves on the live shows. incorporating: 2 electric guitars, a bass, drums, shakers, organs, dancers, occasionally a didjeridoo and a very energetic front man. The shows are guaranteed to be an experience, raw and unpredictable. As they say before every show "we're the down dirty shake and we came to get butt naked"
