Their sound combines acoustic elements of folk music (acoustic guitar and upright bass) with dreamy electric guitar, driving drums, memorable vocals and progressive songwriting. James Riotto -From San Francisco, California. -James Riotto is a Bay Area producer, recording engineer, composer, and performer. He has worked with John Vanderslice, Sean Hayes, Mohsen Namjoo, The Mountain Goats, Marty Ehrlich, Geographer, Kacey Johansing, DRMS, and many others. He has toured the country in rock bands, arranged music for Magik*Magik*Orchestra, and recorded his own songs in several projects. Lately, he's been working full time as a house engineer at Tiny Telephone Studios in SF, and he has just released a new EP of his own songs called End of the World. Cave Clove Katie Clover, Melissa Kilkuskie, Daniel Chazin, Abigail Noyes, and Ryan Parks. -From Oakland, California. -Cave Clove is a modern reincarnation of 50's doo-wop at its best. Add to that a hint of bluegrass, a splash of R&B, and roots in traditional Americana, and you have a group with a stellar sound that is all their own. Soulful harmonies, sultry vocals, and reflective lyricism meet unique instrumentation and make this 5-piece band an extraordinary addition to the evolving genre of Americana. |
