Entries will be limited to 20
chilis, the first 20 to RSVP to chili@bottomofthehill.com.
All
chili must be brought to the Bottom of the Hill between 1 PM and 2 PM
on gameday. At that time, the judges will start judging.
Sign in
when you arrive, and ask a chili helper where to put your crockpot.
All
chili must be in a crockpot. You should make at least 4 qts. If you do
not have a crockpot that fits 4 qts. and don't know where to borrow
one, let us know. We will try to locate one for you!
We will
supply
bowls and utensils and napkins, but you may bring in any special
condiments for your chili if they are essential to your chili's flavor.
All
chilis shall be given a heavy metal name. For example, a past year's
chili cookoff
heavy metal name winner: "Nordic Flesh Feast." (It was a white chili.)
There
are three prizes: best chili, best chili (popular vote), and best heavy
metal name (popular vote). The prizes will be awarded at halftime.
Don't worry, The Whoever will be playing on
the patio.

I'm a Pastry Chef at Paragon and
Blue Plate in San Francisco and Molina - opening later in February in
Mill Valley. I'm in the process of starting my own business as well.
I'm an avid chili eater and past chili cook off contestant. I'm a
workaholic but I'll always take a break for a yummy bowl of chili!
