No Age
Dean Spunt and Randy Randall.
-From Los Angeles, California.
-Los Angeles experimental lo-fi drum-and-guitar duo No Age are Dean Spunt and Randy Randall, ex-members of hardcore band Wives.

Through assorted indie labels, No Age released limited runs of vinyl-only EPs before collecting many of those tracks for the singles collection Weirdo Rippers, issued by UK label FatCat in summer 2007. They are a wholly unique band- devoid of the normal retinue of staff and crew that comes with most well-established acts, No Age books their own shows and packages their own cds. "I was trying to understand the point of making records when they're essentially useless. When we can download music so easily, they're really just to hold and look at. To me, that's the idea of an art object," remarked Dean Spunt, in regards to their take on CDs in the modern age. They're a mix of of blue collar and blue velvet, a punk band with everyman sensibilities.

The Hindu Pirates
Austin Ferreira, Derek Bostelman, Ben Tinsley, and Giuseppe LoBasso.
-From Huntington Beach/Costa Mesa, California.
Hindu Pirates are a Southern California rock band from Huntington Beach, who play a unique blend of salty surf rock, gut-wrenching blues, and upbeat garage rock that you can't help but dance to. Bred under the warm Southern California sun, and citing influences such as Howlin' Wolf, The Rolling Stones, The Velvet Underground, and The Strokes, Hindu Pirates harness the hooks and choruses of carefully crafted pop songs, and deliver them with uninhibited, explosive garage-rock energy.

Dune Rats
Danny Beusa, BC Michaels, and Brett Jansh.
-From Brisbane, Australia.
-Dune Rats is a fuzz-rock duo from Australia with a penchant for solid rock 'n' roll without inhibitions. They're as sincere as you can get and unabashedly youthful, with laid-back musical force and a chilled-out summer vibe.

Creative Adult
P, Michael B, James Rogers, Michael Fenton, and Ian Simpson.
-From San Francisco, California.
-Creative Adult comes from the diverse musical breeding ground of California's North Bay punk scene. The band's sonic blast careens between the harsh, noisy punk of Scratch Acid and Gang of Four while carrying the brooding emotion of Joy Division's darkest moments.
