Sea Lioness
Travis Woodland, Jeremiah Lowe, Scott Smit, Dashiell Worfolk, Steven Medd
-From San Francisco
Sea Lioness is an indie rock quintet featuring Travis Woodland and Steven Medd of Cannons and Clouds, and share some of the same "Frisco slude folk" feeling. At the heart of the group is Woodland's soaring vocals, joined by the occasional harmony section reminiscent of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. Sea Lioness is soulful, grounded, and heartfelt, with heavy piano melodies and djembe beats driving the rhythm steadily along.

Identical Homes
Daniel McKenzie, Jake Krohn, and Schuyler Feekes.
-From Oakland, California.
-Daniel led the charge in the post-rock band The Rum Diary, and played with Bay Area bands Shuteye Unison and Built for the Sea. He now lives in Oakland, CA, and while not Bigfoot country, he still makes frequent trips up river to write and record music for this electronic project in the forestal realms of his youth. All songs are written, played, recorded, and mastered by Daniel, from the dilapidated shack on Highway 116, to the new basement dwellings of Oakland.

Jake Krohn (Action Design, The Rum Diary, Shuteye Unison) and Schuyler Feekes (The Rum Diary, Shuteye Unison) join for live performances.

Ilya
Demetrius Antuna, Matthew Baker, Carrie Gillespie Feller, Bianca Fowler, Geoff Hill, and John Mattos.
-From San Diego, California.
-On the heels of their stunning record release show last month in San Diego, ILYA hits the road and returns to the San Francisco Bay Area for a special night at Bottom of the Hill. The April 1 release of In Blood, their 3rd studio album has launched ILYA back into the spotlight. In Blood is a collection of dark beautiful songs with deep attention to dynamics and mood, and a precision-like love for the subtleties and silence too often overlooked. A culmination of sounds and words so weighted you feel crushed, yet heightened by a delicate floating layer of hope, that leaves you clawing and scratching for more.

Expect a mix of classics from Poise is the Greater Architect and Leaving Sans-Souci as well as new songs from In Blood.

ILYA will be joined by locals Sea Lioness, who will be celebrating the release of their debut album, and Identical Homes, featuring Daniel McKenzie and Schuyler Feekes from the critically acclaimed band The Rum Diary, who will also be celebrating the release of their new record. Finally Sunny Jim Brown will open the show with his songer/songwriter acoustic folk, while Identical Homes play a more indie-electronic mix and to close out the show, Sea Lioness brings their piano driven, melodic indie-rock.

Sunny Jim Brown
-From San Francisco, California.
-Sunny Jim Brown is a singer/songwriter from SF, clawhammering his way to the top. Happy and heartfelt, his music is classic folk with modern twists. Sincere lyrics are carried along by his melodic voice, creating a soundscape that mirrors a complex but optimistic life.
