Odd Owl
Carmen Caruso, Phil Jacobsen, Adam Wadenius, and Stephen Munoz.
-From San Francisco, California
-Odd Owl, an indie band from SF, is a group that came together from all walks of life to create some ver unusual pop. With a sound "centered around Carmen Caruso's pristine-female-fronting and cushioned by keyboard coos, funk hooks, and buoyant drumming " (Justine Fields, SF Deli), Odd Owl is able to "produce some incredible new era indie music." (Br00d, Neighbors Hate Us)

Some bands create music to fit a genre. Others, such as Odd Owl, create a genre to fit their music. "It's pretty hard for us to make music that isn't honest about who we are," says Caruso. "What we create is just an extension of our musical experience, it's not some role we're trying to play. Besides, I've never been very good at acting anyways." The grou's members have fused their musical influences together into their own brand of "indie-dance-rock," drawing from genres such as chamber pop, funk, lo-fi, and alternative dance.

The Senators
-From Phoenix, Arizona.
-Phoenix-based indie startup The Senators are a new face of the Arizona music scene, but are already receiving national attention. Rooted in years of collaborative songwriting between the Teer brothers- Jesse & Rooster- the project came together in the summer of 2012.

The Senators have fashioned a sound that harkens back to the early folk, Americana, and back-beat country while maintaining a spirited and relevant edge, with songwriting that is innovative and refreshing, but at the same time rooted deep in rich tradition.

The Senators first full-length release "Harsher Than Whiskey/Sweeter Than Wine" is now available on iTunes & online retailers.

Cave Clove
Katie Clover, Melissa Kilkuskie, Daniel Chazin, Abigail Noyes, and Ryan Parks.
-From Oakland, California.

-Cave Clove is a modern reincarnation of 50's doo-wop at its best. Add to that a hint of bluegrass, a splash of R&B, and roots in traditional Americana, and you have a group with a stellar sound that is all their own. Soulful harmonies, sultry vocals, and reflective lyricism meet unique instrumentation and make this 5-piece band an extraordinary addition to the evolving genre of Americana.
