The album brought light to the newly-formed band and earned them "Album of the Year" honors from Metal Hammer Norway, as well as Roadburn Festival's "Newcomer of the Year." They're currently on tour supporting their new album "Under Siege." They're one of SF's most powerful heavy metal outfits, who swell their ranks of fans by the day and can only increase in power. Slough Feg Michael Scalzi, Angelo Tringali, Adrian Maestas, and Harry Cantwell. -From San Francisco, California. -Slough Feg's style is an eclectic mix of Celtic Folk and traditional metal, peppered with buckets of energy and lyrical depth. Originally from central Pennsylvania, the group relocated to SF in 1990 to ressurect the true metal scene of the US. They quickly gained a reputation as "The band San Francisco loved to hate" by taking a stand against the trends and incorporating stage savagery with strong visual imagery. 14 years later, they are still standing, and have only increased their foothold in SF. Their crusade against the norm continues with ever-growing ferocity, as their intoxicating brand of metal propels them further into the annals of history. Hornss Nick, Mike, and Bill. -From San Francisco, California. -Plenty of bands try to capture the desert rock sound, but local outfit Hornss gets its inspiration honestly. Two of its three members grew up in the desert and got their start in the Palm Springs group Solarfeast, alongside ex-Kyuss member Chris Cockrell. So although Hornss played its first show less than two years ago, the stoner metal band has already shared bills with the likes of YOB, 400 Blows, and Black Cobra. Playing "heavy rock tunes for fellow dirtbags," the band draws from the usual suspects- Sabbath, Hawkwind, St. Vitus, et al- but with the energy of a punk band.
