Say Hi's albums are mostly recorded at Elbogen's home, with him playing all of the instruments and providing vocals. Moving from brittle drums and glaring synths to sections of skronky guitars it goes all over the map while still keeping a tight structure. Scary Little Friends Chris Jones - Vocals, Guitar; Charlie Knote - Drums; Jon Payne - Bass . . . . . . . . . . . Honorary Scary Little Friends Family: Pat Blizinski - Keys; Deren Ney - Guitar; Jamie Coffis - Keys; Billy Cramer - Guitar; Emily Schmidt - Vocals -from SF and Santa Cruz -Scary Little Friends is the Folk-Rock brainchild of Chris Jones with Charlie Knote on drums, Jon Payne on bass, and Patrick Blizinski on keys. Chris built his own studio in the Mission district to record their debut album, “From the Beginning”, which features lilting vocals (ala Jeff Buckley) and surfs-up psychedelic guitar; a trademark of the “San Francisco Sound”. Based in both Santa Cruz and SF with underlying southern soul roots, strong songwriting is really the bread and butter of this band. Scary Little Friend’s live shows combine an understated professionalism with raw talent. They connect with their audience the old-fashioned way by offering authentic heartfelt performances that fulfill our desire to connect. No gimmicks, no tricks. Just great songs about what you were thinking but couldn’t say. Forget Your Friends Pony Curtis J. Peters Max Reed Charlie Kennedy -from Los Angeles and Kern County, CA -Strong female vocals mixed with ferocious screams take the lead in Forget Your Friends, a California-based band with a reverb-heavy sound, a sentimental outlook on shoegaze that should appeal to those that like their rock deep and spacey. Forget Your Friends does not hold back on the distortion and reverb leading to a grungy baseline sound accented by spacey synths and keyboards...Forget Your Friends’ energy and dynamic sound enthralls |
