Matt Jaffe & The Distractions Matt Jaffe, Sammie Fischer, and Alex Coltharp. -From San Francisco, California. -Matt Jaffe & The Distractions is an SF-based rock group, formed after Talking Heads guitarist and keyboardist Jerry Harrison discovered Matt performing solo at an open mic and decided to produce his music. Together with the rhythm section of Alex Coltharp and Sammie Fischer, they are working on the band's debut record of original material in the vein of The Clash and Elvis Costello. The Phorms -James Neal and Dylan Bullard, along with the Akbarkhanzadeh twins, Saam and Sina, together make the band from San Jose California, The Phorms. -Ranging from many different influences, the four have much chemistry together as a band, bringing art to the ears of listeners. Releasing their first LP, Trapped by the Sun, we are The Phorms. April And The Paradigm Tim Bryant Bilee Kilowatt April Labson Dave Nahrvar Sam Wheelwright -from Oakland -Strong female vocals, heavy harmonies, and edgy lyrics from the California girls are accented by the Arizona-based drummers' heavy metal background, phrasing from the Ohio-Native and Canadian guitarists, and head-bouncing bass-lines. Their dynamic sound is brought together by infusing female vocals with Alternative, Rock, Power Pop, Indie, and Ska.
