Will Weston was exported with a box of bad pineapple from the tropics of Hawaii to settle into San Francisco. A player from an early age, he waited until his 28th year of life to release the long-anticipated debut album, "Quiet, Sirens" at the tail end of the summer of 2012. Since late 2013, Weston & Co. have been enjoying a string of live dates around the city’s top venues and are on the verge of releasing their second full-length album, “Heart of the Order,” on this show at Bottom Of The Hill on January 29th 2015. With an energetic live presence, an emphasis on playing, and a frustratingly loyal support base of the city’s most attractive humans, Weston is the cream rising to the top of San Francisco’s still-beating rock and roll heart, ascending the hills one hopelessly contagious riff at a time. He and his miscreant army are currently supporting this & new material live around the Bay Area. Miner Justin Miner - vox, guitar Kate Miner - vox, mandolin, keys, harmonica Jeremy Miner - vox, banjo, lead guitar Nicholas Spiller - bass Tobias Urbanczyk - drums & percussion -Miner is a Los Angeles/Silver Lake-based, rock/folk family band formed around husband and wife duo Justin & Kate Miner, along with Justin's brother Jeremy Miner. Starting as a Kickstarter-funded, bedroom-studio project inspired by a trip through Central and South America, Miner transformed into a touring band at the beginning of 2013 after recruiting more family and friends to put together the current live lineup. Miner released their debut album Into The Morning on February 25th, 2014, and are currently touring and writing material for their second album. Steakhouse Duane Petrovich - bass Tony Sales - drums (except “Spider Bite”) Reid Black - guitar, synthesizer, piano, organ, percussion Mark Sullivan - voice, guitar, synthesizer, piano, organ, sound effects -from San Francisco -Steakhouse is a five-piece rock group from San Francisco, California. Their music sounds like a mix of post-punk, electronic and art rock, with little bits of country/western thrown in at all the wrong times. They are influenced by Scott Walker, Neu!, Roxy Music and The Clash. The band comprises a few of the people who answered a Craigslist ad titled “Art Fags Make Dancy Band,” during 2011. |
