Old Man Gloom
Aaron Turner (Vocals, Guitar)
Santos Montano (Drums)
Nate Newton (Guitar, Vocals)
Caleb Scofield (Bass Guitar, Vocals)
Luke Scarola (Electronics)
- from Santa Fe, New Mexico

- Experimental sludge metal. Originally formed in New Mexico by guitarist/vocalist Aaron Turner (Isis) and drummer Santos Montano, the Massachusetts-based group Old Man Gloom has since expanded into a sort of supergroup among the Boston hardcore/metalcore scene. By the time of their first album, Meditations in B, the lineup had expanded to include Converge bassist Nate Newton (guitar, vocals) and Cave-Ins' Caleb Scofield (bass, vocals). More of a recording project than an actual band -- they rarely play live, partly due to scheduling conflicts -- Old Man Gloom play a mix of heavy hardcore/metalcore songs and quieter electronic/ambient drones, at times juxtaposing these two elements, while at others blending them together in the same space. Their lyrics and packaging make repeated references to primates -- apes, chimpanzees, etc. -- and also to science, research, and (de-)evolution.

Coliseum
Members: Ryan Patterson - guitar, vocals Kayhan Vaziri - bass Carter Wilson - drums
- from Louisville, Kentucky

Celebrating their 10th year as one of independent music's most substantive bands, Louisville's Coliseum return with their fourth full-length, the stunning Sister Faith, released on April 30, 2013 on Temporary Residence Ltd (Holy Roar in UK/Europe and Daymare in Japan). Expanding on the anthemic direction the trio veered toward on 2010's highly acclaimed House With a Curse, Sister Faith's 13 songs are the most dynamic and immediately captivating of the band's career, bristling with galvanizing melodies at the collision point between punk and noise-rock.

Andraus
Members: Andrew Cox, Austin Cox
- from Pasadena, CA

Andrew and Austin Cox were raised on a haunted resort in a remote valley of Northern California. Andrew started working for Hydra Head Records in 2007, around the same time Austin started shredding guitar all day, every day. Andrew has done video and design work for such bands as Torche, Helms Alee, Gridlink, Sigur Rós, Palms, Prurient, Vatican Shadow, Old Man Gloom, The Austerity Program, and more. Austin has spent years running his fingers up and down his fretboard. Andrew also plays solo as Axed Crown, in the band Dream Homes, and was previously a member of W-H-I-T-E and RyRock. Austin played "Eruption" by Van Halen note for note, before he graduated high school.
