The members of the group are faceless and communicate only via anonymous chat and messaging services, whether it be with users in the physical realm or the ethereal plane. Their music style is both esoteric and expressive, fusing a blend of EDM and alternative. The debut album consisting of 11 songs takes the listener on a journey through life’s highs and lows that ultimately connects with the listener as only true art can. Art for art’s sake, devoid of ego. At first, obtaining an official digital music download will be near impossible, but the music can still be auditioned via media stream until the mortal soul is fortuitous enough to acquire an official copy of the album. The first installation of technology being introduced to the material world will be an anonymous chat and messaging client (AnonChat), utilizing cryptography to broadcast messages securely and privately. Music fans and privacy advocates will flee the current unsecured messaging technologies to Ghosts of Neverland growing roster of privacy based technologies and next gen music. Sunbeam Rd. Trevor Hacker, Harrison Pollock, Clive Hacker from San Francisco, CA Sunbeam Rd., a Bay Area three piece, craft a tense and expansive sound via psychedelic guitars, purposeful melodies, and restraint. Willing to fall apart completely exploring the margins of harmonic rock, their live shows can toe the edge of cacophony. At their best they reach into hook-laden, fuzz-saturated trance states. The band juxtaposes the concerns of three distinct songwriters, all hailing from the same small town, and all recent art school graduates: Trevor Hacker and his layered guitar anthems, brother Clive Hackers minimal chamber rock, and Harrison Pollocks angular feedback work-outs. The band carves new spaces out of old friendships, striving to document strange new dialogues in sound. - Art Nikels Xavier Perrone - lead singer, Devon Rodrigues - guitarist, Robert Gibboni - keyboardist, Grayson Flood - bass, Jake Barczak - drums from Berkeley, CA Conceived in the Spring of 2013, Art Nikels is a brewing presence in the East Bay and greater San Francisco music scene. Art Nikels present a freeform blend of electronically fused psych-rock, citing influences ranging from hip-rock to kraut-höp. Unpredictable performers, their shows have reportedly oozed Flying Lotus medleys, Black Sabbath covers, and contemporary pantomime. Their early years in a cavernous laboratory were soon forgotten. But it was there, aside their mysterious founder and beneficiary, Arthur Nikels, (and many other established lepidopterists in the field) that they truly began to formulate the axioms of their fuzz-folk morphology. The Summer of 2014 saw Art Nikels’ first sunburn and a west-coast tour. They are currently set to release 'Primitives EP', also their first." We are releasing an ep over the next month and will have more tracks coming. |
