Metal Mother
Members: Taara Tati
- from Oakland, CA

From the acid-drenched dregs of Oakland, Ca. is Metal Mother, moniker of musician and performance artist, Taara Tati. Combining elements of electronic, industrial, pop and goth with a consistent stream of bewitching visual content, she’s quickly caught the attention of Vice, Vogue, Bust, Blackbook, USA Today, MTV, Mishka Bloglin, and earned cover stories from The SF Bay Guardian and Performer Magazine.

Since Metal Mother’s debut in 2011, she’s released two full-length albums, ’Bonfire Diaries’ and ‘Ionika’, under her own label name, Post Primal. She’s also produced music videos for the songs ‘Shake’ and ‘Mind_off’, played over 60 shows from massive festival stages to packed and rowdy queer warehouse parties, and everything in between. Most recently, she’s featured on the latest Glitch Mob album, adding vocals to the song ‘Becoming Harmonious’.

Currently, she holds true to her DIY roots as she develops Post Primal into an experimental arts collective, an online magazine and store, and a multi-media party crew that’s been recognized as a valuable platform for Oakland’s bourgeoning art scene.

With her intricate composition style, enigmatic vocal layering, quirky piano melodies, and distorted synth lines, Metal Mother casts an arcane, provocative, and sometimes deranged sound. Much of her content is inspired by travels to ancient pagan sites and it comes through in many of her lyrics and songs. Mix that with the influences of the industrial surroundings in Oakland, a devout interest in occult relevancy, and a futurists knack for not blending in, and you have Metal Mother.

Future Twin

- from: San Francisco, CA

Future Twin came together through the 1st all girl moped gang the Lockits. They became fast friends and were soon waxing synth songs, huffing gasoline and makeing shred tents (the 'e' stands for everyone) late into the evening. Since then situations transpired, people decided to get up or get out, landslides shifted, but adaptive by design this pirate ship just keeps sailing.

Us Lights
Members: Michael Young Ryan Hayes Ryan Cross Glen Scheidt Travis Girton
- from Portland, OR

"Back in September of 2013, I went to see Porcelain Raft at Bunk Bar, and on a rare occasion, the local opener happened to pique my interest. Us Lights were just sprouting (formed in summer of 2013) , but the five-piece already possesed that unquantifiable trait - they sound like Us Lights, and not a cheap imitation of established artists. Layers of textures from moody synths, steadfast rhythm section, stadium-worthy vocals, and an intricate sampling create an atmospheric pop that is intangible yet tantalizing." -- Autumn Andel, Prefix Magazine
