-Black Pistol Fire is a Canadian Rock and Roll duo that split’s time between Toronto, Ontario and Austin, Texas. Their wild and energetic rock-and-roll sound has been described as a mix of classic southern rock and garage punk, garnering comparisons to early Kings of Leon, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and The White Stripes. It's clear that the band's sound spans many different eras and sub-genres, relying on a classic rock and roll sound that has been updated for our modern times.

Framed for murder in the 1920's and sentenced to death by electric chair, Tim Lowman a.k.a "Low Volts" would not exist today if his traveling gospel singer great grandfather had not escaped his electrified fate. In the final hours before death, a little old lady served as a key witness which resulted in the pardoning of 'Doc Lowman', thus ensuring the musical family tree would grow even stronger. Three musical generations later, three time San Diego Music Award winner, LOW VOLTS is giving the music world a much needed shock to the heart. Often referring to himself as ‘us’ and ‘we’ at live shows, this one-man, dirty-blues-rock n’ roller provides a wild performance like none other. With a gritty old slide-guitar, thunderous kick drum laden with tambourines, and dark, howling vocals, LOW VOLTS creates a thick and heavy sound equivalant to a five piece band. Stripped down, stand up original music. Combining a timeless mixture of heavy, dirty blues rock and soul, LOW VOLTS has managed to encompass the American sound in a raw and extremely unique way.Think ‘1955 meets 2055.’ ‘Early Elvis meets Evel Knievel.’ The 2011 debut record, ‘TWIST SHAKE GRIND BREAK’ has seen music used by Showtimes's 'WEEDS', Stone Brewing Co., Sector 9 Skateboards and also won 'Best Blues Album' at SDMA's. The 2012 release of 'Oh My Stars' has brought another wild and dirty ride through uncharted sonic landscapes winning 'Best Blues Album' and staying true to the sound & experience of an authentic LOW VOLTS live performance. LOW VOLTS has performed live with: LEON RUSSELL, THE BLACK LIPS, REIGNWOLF, EAGLES OF DEATH METAL, HANNI EL KHATIB, SCOTT H. BIRAM, MELISSA ETHERIDGE, NASHVILLE PUSSY, COLD WAR KIDS, JIM JAMES, BAND OF SKULLS, THE GREENHORNES, LUCERO, THE JIM JONES REVUE, DAN SARTAIN, KARL DENSON, TRANSFER, DAVE ALVIN, LITTLE HURRICANE and HACIENDA to name a few. Heavy touring is in the stars for this one-man lightning storm.

“Since banding together in 2012, the four guys of Down and Outlaws have been crafting a dirty blues rock sound that does not mess around — unadulterated rock and roll made with absolutely no traces of “indie” or lo-fi. They leave the fluff and filler at home in favor of gritty, grimy, whiskey-soaked tunes, bridging western blues vibes with classic rock and sounding exactly how an outfit called Down and Outlaws should sound. — The Bay Bridged
