With their first LP release on Action Theory/Warner Bros. entitled “Sound Of Fire”, the band solidified their spot amongst the top tier of the pop/rock circuit. Soon after the release, AP Magazine named the them as one of the “100 Bands You Need To Know for 2011”. Their unique combination of anthemic pop and die hard grassroots fan base has led them to extensive tour dates with the likes of Good Charlotte, The Maine, The Ready Set, Breathe Carolina, Hey Monday and many others. The band has recently teamed up with producer Colby Wedgeworth (The Maine) to work on music for their upcoming second LP that is yet to be released. ”We’re always trying to push the limits of what a pop band can be and we feel that we strive to top ourselves each time around.” says guitarist Sean Silverman about the upcoming release. The band is gearing up for a busy year that kick-starts with their brand new single. The song is an upbeat tour de force of pop that frontman Joel Kanitz calls ”the perfect summer anthem with a larger than life sound.” The Technicolors Brennan Smiley (Vocals, Guitars), Troy Lowney (Keys), and Mike (Nico) Nicolette (Bass) from Phoenix, AZ - American rock band The Technicolors started off as the brainchild of Phoenix-native Brennan Smiley. The formation of the band itself started back when Smiley was acoustically supporting other local music acts by performing his songs live. After a few shows, the project began to grow and soon turned into a more serious approach, taking on the form of The Technicolors. Inspired by the New Millennium’s garage rock and mid 90's Brit-pop, The Technicolors combine elements of those two genres with classic and modern components and subject matters to introduce a completely new and exclusive sound.- Julia Lauren from Brooklyn, NY - Julia Lauren is an indie-pop artist who is bridging the gap between 80's pop and indie-dance rock. Her sassy, edgy vibrato combined with intricate drum beats, groovy bass lines and upbeat dance guitars, provides ear-candy for all listeners. With her newly released EP "PillowTalk," Julia hopes to grab all audiences and leave them going home with a musical orgasm for days. Starting her first band at the age of 13, Julia is no stranger to performing live and collaborating with other artists. Having been influenced by the likes of No Doubt, U2, Michael Stipe, Panic! at the Disco, Green Day and many others, Julia has grown and matured into the artist she is today. - |
