Coo Coo Birds
The Cat - "Jonny Cat": Vox, Guitar, Piano, Organ, Drums, The Bird, a.k.a. Rock n Roll Animal, "Zweng": Vox, Drums, Guitar, Gray "Matter" Tolhurst - Badasss BASS, vox, keyboards, Guitar, Joshua Cook - Guitar, Bass, Vox
-from San Francisco, CA

"The Coo Coo Birds embody timeless rock ‘n’ roll attitude, with their era-spanning sound drawing from garage, psychedelic, and 50′s rock, all created in the old convent in San Francisco where the band resides. They sound like Boiler Pot Rock n’ Roll at its best. The 1950′s got a new skate board, then fell off when 1967 tripped him. Then 1977 came along and beat them both up for it, and all three were arrested by Officer 2012. The band lives in an ex-Convent turned artist community, and derives much of their inspiration from this unique SF scene.'' They Started at the Condor strip club in San Francisco as a blues band known as "Jonny Cat & the Coo Coo Birds", started by the bands singer and guitarist Jonny Cat.

Discovered living in an former Convent in the Hayes Valley of San Francisco in 2012, the Coo Coo Birds have done much to re-define the meaning of modern holy life since they first started making music in unison. Noted for causing spiritual awakening in the members of their congregation; the band's live performances are considered by many- even by those outside of the occult- to be a religious experience. Abandoning modern conveniences for a more corporal connection with the Divine, the group is rumored to have recorded their prayers using ancient methods; including magnetic tapes, and primitive amplification. Witnesses to the groups public ceremonies have reported seeing band members storing their ceremonial objects in Gentleman's Clubs after use, and have claimed to have heard sounds previously considered extinct on earth at some regional gatherings. Scientist have yet to confirm this, but cite the bands debut LP-"Don't Bring Your Boyfriends"- as evidence of the phenomenon's possibility.

Strange Hotel
Frankie Abreau // Lead - Myles Deiaco // Bass - Sean Reilly // Guitar - Timi Aristil // Drums
from San Francisco, CA-

As you’ve probably already surmised from the included photo, Strange Hotel is a rock band, and a damn good one at that.  Yes, they don’t just look cool, they sound cool–their music combines the best elements of the classic rock vinyl gathering dust in your dad’s basement and the modern-day, hip indie-rock lighting up the blogosphere.  From the soaring lead vocals of Frank Abreau Salazar (those Queen-esque harmonies on “Delusion of Self”!) to the pummeling drums of Timi Aristil (that nasty double-bass fill on “All The World Is A Strange Hotel”!), everything about the group just works.

When they’re not blowing up your speakers on Get-The-Led-Out grooves like “Dead In My Tracks,” they’re seducing you with heartsick ballads like “I’ve Been Making Promises I Can’t Keep,” both styles pulled off with the same laid-back efficiency.  Add to all that a handful of organ solos, a few ripping guitar riffs, and a song about selling your soul for rock n’ roll and, well, what more can you ask for?

The Iron Heart
Justin Altamura, Thomas Fine & Joel Fennie
-from Napa, CA

-The Iron Heart is a hard hitting rock band from California. Formed in 2013 by Thomas Fine, Justin Altamura and Joel Fennie. The trio has always played music together through the years, and have now re-formed to create The Iron Heart.

With an energetic rhythm section and soaring guitars, The Iron Heart delivers a signature sound that has been described as "the new rock n roll". Thomas Fine's unique vocal style offers up honesty and passion. Justin Altamura's definitive bass sound gives the extra spice and also delivers world-rocking riffs. On the drums, Joel Fennie, unleashes a thunderous approach which gives the band a big, bold sound. Together they have created a sound that blends traditional hard rock with blues & punk influences.
