Jet Trash
Paul Keith Robby Marshall
-from SF, CA

San Francisco’s Jet Trash know what it means to be a quintessential West Coast band. They proudly carry the torch of their predecessors The Sonics and The Ventures, joining the ranks of Bay Area contemporaries Ty Segall and Thee Oh Sees in cranking out modern indie-rock updates on classic ’60s garage-surf. Armed with vintage Fenders and reverb-soaked tube amps, the band’s energetic lo-fi anthems have a youthful immediacy, their massive hooks curling like breaking waves. It’s a sound that has already won the hearts of Jet Trash’s hometown, The Deli SF voting them one of the best up-and-coming bands of 2014 and The Bay Bridged dubbing them “the cream of the crop” of San Francisco locals. Now, with their self-titled debut EP, they’re ready to take the national stage.

Ice Cream

-from San Francisco, CA

The music of Ice Cream may not be as innocently sweet as the treat they’re named after, but they’ll certainly delight anyone with even a passing interest in garage rock. Their latest EP, We’re Set, is a melting pot of dirty, fuzzy, slightly sloppy rock n’ roll: the party punk blast of “Wherever You Are” kicks things off with a blistering pace; “Mexico” sounds like a drunken Strokes track cut from Is This It; and “Surfer Girl” is sonically miles away from the Beach Boys tune of the same name, with its lo-fi production and punchy beat. “Wild” is the standout, though, a raucous ode to all those bad influence friends in your life who are just too fun to quit. Yeah, they occasionally get you into trouble (or maybe not so occasionally), but the weekends wouldn’t be nearly as exciting without them. Kind of like this record.

Cookie Tongue
Omer Gal(Cookie Tongue) - vocals, guitar,keys
Green Tooth (Kiaro Cho)- Violin, keys, vocals
Drew Murphy - Bass,banjo,accordian
John Scianna - Drums
-from San Francisco, CA

Quirky folk fairy tales with weirdo art band sounds. Tripping in a mystical journey down the Cookie hole, through surreal rolling sleeves of starlight, spellbound by Hebrew chants of the ancient and up the stray urban loneliness of technology, this album will take you full circle, as each song brings you into a different posture of listening, twisting you in a way you haven't been twisted before.
