The Holy Grail
James-Paul Luna - Vocals, Eli Santana - Lead Guitar, Alex Lee - Lead Guitar, Tyler Meahl - Drums, Blake Mount - Bass
-from Pasadena/San Diego

The Los Angeles-based metal powerhouse HOLY GRAIL – whose aggressive touring over the past few years has seen the acclaimed group shared the stage with the likes of Amon Amarth, Anthrax, Exodus and Dragonforce, among others – will enter the studio this weekend with Grammy Award-winning producer John Spiker to begin tracking their third album. A fall release is expected.
Following an extensive tour campaign to promote their 2013 release “Ride The Void” – hailed by Metal Hammer as “full-blooded, forward-looking, classic heavy fucking metal” – the group spent much of 2014 writing their as-yet-untitled new release. Guitarist Eli Santana and drummer Tyler Meahl also kept busy by touring extensively with Huntress, whose lead guitarist Blake Meahl is Tyler’s brother.
Featuring a blistering dual lead guitar attack and powerful vocals by James Paul Luna (praised by Decibel as “the finest metal singer of his generation”), HOLY GRAIL burst onto the scene in 2009 with their debut EP, “Improper Burial,” which led Metal Hammer to call the group “one of the most promising traditionally-inclined metal bands to emerge from the U.S. in the past decade.” It was quickly followed by “Crisis In Utopia,” which Revolver called “a nearly flawless full-length debut that ecstatically revives undiluted, straight-up metal in all its gauntlet-clad glory” and named one of the 20 best albums of 2010.
In addition to the bands listed above, HOLY GRAIL has toured alongside such notable acts as Blind Guardian, Valient Thorr, Orange Goblin, Hellyeah, High On Fire, Black Label Society and Municipal Waste. The group has also performed at such major international metal festivals as Wacken (Germany), Download (UK), Soundwave (Australia) and Loud Park (Japan).
Last month, HOLY GRAIL triumphantly returned to the stage with a live performance at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. during the home opener of the L.A. Kiss arena football team. A photo gallery (courtesy of Voorhees Photo) can be seen at this location.

Night Demon
Jarvis Leatherby, Brent Woodward, Dusty Squires
-from Ventura, CA

Hailing from the city of Ventura an hour north of Los Angeles, Night Demon is a classic metal trio comprising vocalist/bassist Jarvis Leatherby, guitarist Brent Woodward and drummer Dusty Squire. The band unites the three members’ musical inspirations and influences ranging from old-school metal greats such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Diamond Head, Angel Witch, Riot and Saxon to punk legends The Misfits. But whilst Night Demon’s music proudly exhibits these roots, it does so in a manner contemporary with modern time, and even in Night Demon’s short tenure as an active band since 2012, this quality has compelled first-time listeners to take notice and has made an indelible impact on them.

Night Demon released their self-titled debut EP in April 2013, consisting of four original compositions on CD and vinyl, and to coincide with their massively extensive Spring 2014 European tour (including appearances at Keep It True and Pounding Metal Fest), they put out an expanded edition of the EP with four additional tracks including three rare, obscure cover tunes Axe Crazy (Jaguar), Lightning To The Nations (Diamond Head) and Radar Love (Golden Earring; live version).

Spring 2014 also saw Night Demon successfully sign a European record deal with SPV/Steamhammer, and was soon followed by a signing with Century Media Records for North America (and the rest of the world excluding Europe). In Fall  2014, Night Demon embarked on an epic journey across North America with British metal legends Raven, and returned home from this 44-show, 9-week, 19000-mile run having established a strong first impression on old-school metalheads throughout the continent, turning Raven fans into Night Demon fanatics overnight. Also in 2014, Night Demon completed work on their debut full-length album ‘Curse Of The Damned’, featuring 11 brand new original tracks, and with its early 2015 worldwide release began the next chapter of the Demon's rapid rise.

Asada Messiah
Rodrigo Garcia, Robb Grimes, Steve Kerwin, Sandeep Bhuta
-from San Francisco

Asada Messiah has churned out a tasty dose of underground metal since 2008, with the release of their first EP Grill 'Em 'All. Their style reflects their love of all things metal, ranging from classic hardcore and thrash to epic doom metal riffs. In 2012, they self-released their first full length album Cross Contamination. Which is a heavy, riff-laden homage to midnight movies.
