We played two nationwide tours with Shane MacGowan, did a few 2FM Fanning sessions. With 2004 came the trip across the Atlantic to edge of the Pacific and San Francisco. John Travoltage Richard Tubman, Alan Saura, Joe Peters, Brady Quilici -from San Francisco, CA -John Travoltage is a four-piece pop punk band from San Francisco. John Travoltage draw their influences from the likes of retro-rock acts like The Minutemen, Superchunk and Pavement, skate and surf punk bands like NOFX and Rancid, and contemporary neo-garage bands like Wavves and Japandroids. While the songs follow pop structure for the sake of palatability and dance-ability, JTV seeks to subvert the inherent nature of pop aesthetics with bratty and iconoclastic lyrics that shove a decidedly adult middle finger at the notions of celebrated mediocrity, capitalist hierarchy, and Western exceptionalism that run rampant within the narrative of the modern American nouveau-urban denizen. The debut EP is available September 2015. Sweet Hayah Nehal Abuelata (lead vocals/keyboard), Devin Moreno (lead guitar/vocals), Aaron Marquez (bass/vocals), Josh Gardner (drums/vocals), Brandon Garcia (trumpet/tambourine/vocals) -from San Jose, Paris, Cairo -Emerging from the multicultural and diverse heart of the Silicon Valley, San Jose’s Sweet HayaH is truly a product of its environment. The band originally hit the local music scene in 2011 and has quickly emerged as a musical force in the Bay Area. Sweet HayaH is an impassioned blend of Rock, Soul, and Funk.
