Joey Cape
Joey Cape
-from San Francisco, CA

A musician since the age of 10, for well over 2 decades Joey Cape has been lending his voice, his songwriting skills and his guitar playing and his casual charm to the likes of bands as disparate as Lagwagon, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Bad Astronaut and even to his work as a solo artist. A rock and roll renaissance man, Joey’s a punk, an indie rocker, a troubadour and a shit-kicking cover artist all in one, and he’s been doing it all since before most of us were even born. Prolific as ever, now Joey finds his voice in a steady stream of acoustic releases. Joey is probably most famous for his work fronting Lagwagon. As a pioneer of the classic Fat Wreck sound, Joey and Lagwagon first began in 1989 where they gained international notoriety for their rapid tempos, extreme technical proficiency and alternately heartfelt lyrics.

Walt Hamburger
Walt Hamburger
-from  Neenah, WI
-Walt Hamburger is best known for his work in The Hamburgers, a punk rock trio on My Brother Stole My Records (MBSMRecords). You may also know Walt for his time in Honor Amongst Thieves, Obvious Man Hands, Caution To The Wind, Babes In The Wood, The Gumchewers, Mike Pilz & The Delayed Reactions, 3 Foot C**t, League of Concerned Scientists, Lobot's Task, The Where's Marys, Endless Days Sleepless Nights, or Thief.

In October 2014, Walt was offered a record deal by Joey Cape (Lagwagon) on One Week Records. Walt went to San Francisco in January 2015 to record his album. Touring of US/Canada is planned to follow the release of the record. "From the rough mixes I've heard so far, I'm very excited. I think this is the best stuff I've ever done. Joey got the best out of me and collaborating with him was a truly special opportunity." -Walt (after returning from the studio in 2015)

Walt has released several recordings in his 18+ years of performing. His most recent release was "Easy Target," released on MBSMRecords in August 2014. You can purchase copies of this recording at any of Walt's shows. Walt's 2010 MBSMRecords release "Work In Progress" is available online at amazon, iTunes, and more; as well as being available at his shows.

Walt has been described as an entertainer. He brings the energy and humor associated with years in the punk rock scene to his acoustic performances. Walt's songs range from heart-felt ballads to rock 'n roll and everything in between. He will always engage with the crowd, especially during his set.

WAPL's Rick & Len's quote on Walt: "It was just as entertaining time as I have had in Appleton at any point in my life."

In 2014, Walt's popularity increased significantly thanks to exposure at Appleton's Mile of Music festival, as well as big shows with Joey Cape (Lagwagon), Chris Cresswell (The Flatliners), Kristopher Roe (The Ataris), Richie Ramone (The Ramones), & Cory Chisel...just to name a few. He was also featured in a YouTube video created by Lawrence University about Appleton, WI.
