You know Jason as the other guy in Green Day and Pinhead Gunpowder. Dustin was in Soophie Nun Squad. Adam you might remember as the OTHER other guy from Jawbreaker. The self-titled California LP is their debut and was recorded over several months that included the birth of two children; a throat cancer diagnosis for the singer and accompanying radiation and chemotherapy treatments (long story short -- he's fine). California plays power pop, rock punk. Why California? Because fuck you. The Tet Holiday B. Farmer, A. Gibbons, A. Ledford -from Oakland, CA -The Tet Holiday is the musical brainchild of singer/songwriter Andrew Ledford, accompanied by Austin Gibbons (bass) and Brandon Farmer (drums). Combining the pop instincts of The Jesus and Mary Chain with the passion and energy of Japandroids and The Replacements, The Tet Holiday brings naked emotion to their pop-punk rock anthems. The Tet Holiday’s first three EPs provided the sonic foundation for the band’s debut album, Statues, released in February 2016. Conceived in the aftermath of a breakup, Statues evolved into a deeper body of work focused on transformation and rebirth. Finding inspiration in artists from R.E.M. to New Order to My Bloody Valentine, Statues balances bittersweet introspection with melodic, anthemic, crushing rock ‘n roll. Terry Ashkinos - Vocals/Guitar, Scott Eberhardt - Drums, Adrian McCullough - Bass -from San Francisco, CA -You don’t have to actually die to start over, but you might have to pretend to. Fake Your Own Death have been compared to Echo and the Bunnymen, Sonic Youth, Interpol and Jesus and Mary Chain. Sometimes known as El Terrible, FYOD have played with bands like The Warlocks, Blood Red Shoes, Film School, White Denim, Bob Mould and Gang of Four. |
