It's like we all became one conciousness, and within this current incarnation of ourselves, we formed an everlasting musical bond that has lasted and grown, and continues to grow within ourselves and each others, selves, we bring love and form it into, musical, notes, and, we love earth, water, mountain, and........... ...NAW JK WE MET AT STARBUCKS :)- Kingdom Of The Holy Sun Josh Deveney Daniel Sansone Christian Powers Scott Kennedy Benajah Weiss Guido Anselmi -from Seattle, WA -Formed in early 2012 in Seattle, WA, Kingdom of the Holy Sun offers their twist on psychedelia. The band draws on such genres as the melodic and fuzzed out sounds of garage rock from the 60’s, meditative drones and instrumentation from the Indian Sub-continent, as well as the more recent sounds of neo- psychedelia. These influences form touchstones they use to explore new sonic landscapes. Their psychedelic sound ranges from the repetitive beats of the Monks (A Go Go) to The Doors inspired gems (Her sweet delight) to hypnotic drones of Spacemen 3 (Pharmacokinetics). Live shows often include colorful visuals and liquid light show. In addition, their sound has been compared The Velvet Underground, Brian Jonestown Massacre and The Black Angels. Vela Eyes Ian Zazueta, Florie Maschmeyer, Julia Johari, Meredith Brion -from San Francisco, CA -Vela Eyes is a 5 piece from SF fusing elements of post punk, shoe gaze, psych rock, & pop. Being long time bay area locals, Vela Eyes consists of a bunch of old friends. Together they frequented SF's bars and venues, always seeking out good music and a place to cut a rug. The collective taste & collaborative writing process of the group creates a melting pot of many different genres, and decades of rock. The chemistry between the members is alight with a common passion for creating beautifully lush and energetic music. The band started as a side project between guitarist Ian Zazueta and front woman Florie Maschmeyer on synth. They roped in Julia Johari on synth, guitar, and vocals, then later the group was completed with Andrew Dietrich Burmester on bass, and Aaron Hazen on drums.
