We are werewolves… and we have proof Russian Girlfriends Adam, Ian, Colin, Sasha, Jeremy -from Albuquerque, NM -With roots in the Bay Area metal and Albuquerque punk scenes, Russian Girlfriends strikes a careful balance between raw youthful energy, infectious melodies, and thoughtful, story-driven lyricism. The band formed in late 2014, a supergroup of sorts, comprised of Albuquerque local scene veterans and ex members of Koffin Kats, Adam Hooks and his Hang-ups, and Glitter Dick. The original lineup; Adam Hooks as lead vocalist, Ian Jarrell and Colin Dowell on guitar, and Jeremy Keith on bass, was completed when Sasha Horn (drummer for Heathen, Novembers Doom, and Forbidden.) signed on as the band’s drummer. Russian Girlfriend’s highly anticipated debut All Around draws on themes lifted from American history, Native American history, real life events, dreams, and relationships, all told with distinctly surreal and satirical undertones. The album, All Around, is now available for streaming and purchase on Bandcamp, Spotify, iTunes and Apple Music. Civil War Rust Sean, Ryan, Drew, Chris and Shrum -from East Bay, CA -After their solid freshman album, "The Fun & The Lonely", CWR step things up with "Help Wanted" and deliver 10 new Bay Area punk classics. Recorded at both Studio Trilogy in San Francisco and Nu-Tone Studios in Pittsburg, CA the band shows great growth in their song writing and delivering short pop punk sing-alongs. With their sophomore release coming in at under 24 minutes, CWR keep it short and sweet. Mixing harmonies, a precise rhythm section and a unique resilience, this record will surely become a favorite amongst aging pop punk fans everywhere.
