Anniversary Cheap Girls www.cheapgirls.net/ Rock/ Powerpop Winter Break sites.google.com/site/winterbreakband3/ punk Warm Thoughts formerly Dad Punchers dadpunchers.bandcamp.com/music punk The Exquisites www.facebook.com/The-Exquisites-384795784946316/timeline punk Great Apes www.facebook.com/greatapessf punk Cheap Girls Ben Graham - Drums, Ian Graham - Bass/ Vocals, Adam Aymor - Guitar -from Lansing, Michigan -Cheap Girls have been a band since the spring of 2007. The band was started with the simple intention of playing simple and loud rock songs. Said simplicity masks a genuine talent for melody and an everyman’s poeticism. The band spent the better part of their first year in Ben's basement working out the songs that would become their first full length LP, "Find Me A Drink Home" Winter Break Aaron plays drums. Mark plays guitar and sings. Matt plays bass and sings occasionally. -from Southern California -Winter Break's three members all used to play in a band called Summer Vacation. Warm Thoughts Elliot Babin -from Los Angeles, CA -Warm Thoughts is the continuation of Elliot Babin’s bedroom recording project, which he started in 2010 previously under the name Dad Punchers. His solo project has evolved to a revolving cast of Babin and his friends playing loud, sweaty, and occasionally sad, rock and roll music. The Exquisites Jason Clackley -from Seattle, WA -Soulful punk music from Seattle, WA. The Exquisites' album is both intense and introspective at the same time, with driving drums and walls of guitars backing Jason Clackley's powerful croon. Plus, you gotta love that artwork! Great Apes Brian Moss, Matthew Kadi, Ryan Marshall, Chris Chapel -from San Francisco, CA -Insert hype-up descriptors here. Plain and simple, Great Apes are a punk band from San Francisco. Minimalism reigns. Play it fast, play it loud, and make it stick. While we all have been or are in an array of more complex projects, this band is founded on pop-sensible simplicity and the notion that music, much like a bio, is often at its finest when it’s spit out intensely, with concision and honesty. |
