Alexander Jean
BC Jean &  Mark Ballas
-from Los Angeles, CA

-Alexander Jean first formed in 2012 at a Los Angeles singer-songwriter showcase.  BC became an in demand artist and songwriter when her song "If I Were A Boy" became a worldwide #1 hit after Beyonce recorded it for her I AM…SASHA FIERCE album.  Mark was the winner of MTV's Freshman Five in 2011, and named him as that year's "Artist To Watch."  In 2014, he released his debut single "Get My Name";  the track hit the Top 25 on iTunes' pop chart while the song's video debuted at #1 on multiple MTV platforms.

BC and Mark have taken a very raw approach to their music through their team work in songwriting, vocal production and harmonization.  The combination of BC's unmistakable voice and inflection on lead vocals with Marks' extensive guitar abilities (ranging from flamenco, rock and blues), as well as assisting on vocals/harmonies, have created a sound that is uniquely their own as Alexander Jean. Alexander Jean, singer-songwriter duo featuring BC Jean and Mark Ballas, will embark on their first U.S. national tour titled "Head High," sponsored by Nicorette® and NicoDerm® CQ®. The "Head High" title for the tour comes from the first song Mark and BC wrote together, which led to the creation of Alexander Jean. The lyric embodies strength, motivation and inspiration to never give up throughout life's ups and downs. In conjunction with Alexander Jean's debut EP release, also titled "Head High" and due on June 3, the tour kicks off on June 17 in Santa Ana, California, and will run through July 20, concluding in San Francisco, California. Alexander Jean's current single, "Thief," recently hit #5 on iTunes' Singer/Songwriter chart, following up their debut single, "Roses And Violets," which hit #1 on iTunes' Singer/Songwriter chart; and #6 on iTunes' Overall Chart.  The duo, recently named "KIIS FM Next Up Artist of the Week," made their South By Southwest (SXSW) debut this year, and also performed at BMI's annual "Snow Ball" event at Sundance.  Alexander Jean has also been chosen to perform at the 3rd Annual L.A. GRAMMY Showcase to be held May 17 at The Fonda Theatre.

Alexander Jean has performed live on the West Coast in Los Angeles to sold out audiences at The Viper Room, Hotel Café, Room 5 and No Name; in San Francisco at Feinstein's at The Nikko;  and in San Diego at the House of Blues.  Says Aidin Vaziri of the San Francisco Chronicle:  "The….duo comes with a serious Top 40 pedigree…together, they come up with a pleasing pop-rock-soul hybrid that weaves together eclectic influences…"  In Style says:  "The duo…specialize in a brand of infectious pop-rock-soul….and listeners have noticed…"

Bryan McPherson
Bryan McPherson with Friends
-from Boston/Los Angeles, CA

Folk-punk troubadour Bryan McPherson’s immersion in Occupy Oakland in 2011 was a life-changing experience that informed his forthcoming dynamic third album, Wedgewood, which came out the summer 2015. In between playing shows on “Teargas Tuesday” and dodging rubber bullets in the name of change at Occupy, he began to collate and catalog the inspiration for his latest offering. His songs meld Americana, folk, alternative, and punk into one incendiary, incisive sound - paying homage to influences such as Bob Dylan, The Sex Pistols, The Violent Femmes, Bruce Springsteen and Ani DiFranco. Touring year-round, Bryan has hit the road many times with punk luminaries Dropkick Murphys, he’s opened for the legendary Chuck Berry and boasts a fan in Slash. He’s received much critical acclaim, with the San Francisco Bay Guardian praising, “His words aren’t just cerebral ponderings about the state of the government. It is one man belting—at the top of his lungs—his honest, emotional impressions of the world.” Bryan’s got something to say loud and clear. He explains, “I see music as a means for change. It’s a powerful and beautiful force, and it’s my life.
