The group was founded by Jon Sandler and Luke Moellman. Both grew up in Upstate New York. Jon from Niskayuna, Luke from Saratoga Springs, but only met when living around the corner from each other in Brooklyn, NY. In 2013 the duo released the song "You're The One For Me." Its overwhelming online popularity resulted in the song reaching #1 on Hype Machine twice in one month. Soon after their first seven shows at SXSW in the spring of 2013, the band signed with Neon Gold Records/Epic Records and Transgressive Records/Warner/Chappell Music publishing. Morgxn -from Nashville, NYC & LA -Indie singer/songwriter morgxn combines electronic atmospherics with a sensual R&B-influenced delivery, similar to Oh Wonder, Jack Garratt, Troye Sivan, and Nick Jonas. Born in Nashville, the soulful artist grew up surrounded by music, guided by his grandfather, a former vaudeville singer. Based in both New York City and Los Angeles, morgxn signed with wxnderlost recordings and released his debut track, "Love You with the Lights On," in 2016. Meet Me In Orbit Jared Brannan, Brandon Bews -from San Francisco, CA -At this point there are probably more electropop acts working than there were in the ’80s when the genre was pretty much inescapable for a good chunk of the decade. San Francisco’s Meet Me in Orbit distinguish themselves from the synth-happy crowd not only by the quality of their recordings, which is evidenced by a fastidious sonic approach that avoids plug-in presets but also by their ability to work their way inside your head and evoke a real emotional response. |
