With Cooper's poignant and enigmatic lyrics coupled with Taylor's high octane electric guitar, The Cooper Taylor Project is a modern rock n roll band with its foundation situated in the heyday of the greatest music ever. If Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan had a band together, it would be something like this. Trace Repeat Vocals, Guitar, Bass | Zach Hing, Wesley Woo Tenor, Bari Sax | Daniel Wilson Drums | Ben Peterson -from Oakland, CA -Trace Repeat is an eight piece Oakland based Retrosoul Funk band, along the lines of Prince, James Brown, and the Reverend Al Green. We write tight grooves, sick horn parts, ridiculous vocal runs, and unstoppable pocket rhythms. Get down on it. Ardent Sons Tony Sales-Drums, Vocals, Misisipi Mike Wolf-Guitar, Vocals, Dave Flores-Keys, Vocals Mike Anderson-Bass, Will Hendrix, Bass, Kevin T. White-Bass -from Oakland, S.F., CA -The brain child of Tony Sales and Mike Wolf, Ardent Sons began as a shared love of 60's RnB and Soul by the likes of Joe Tex, Sam and Dave, The Staple Singers and Little Richard. Sales and Wolf recruited Kevin White (Chuck Prophet), and Dave Flores (Midnight Gamblers), and together they found a sound as much rooted in the grind of the MC5 as in the voodoo of Dr. John, a line that connects the legacy of Stax and Muscle Shoals to the blue eyed RnB of the Small Faces and The Box Tops. Its a fresh sound for fresh people. So, get ready. |
