It's a formidable three-piece that creates equally formidable music, elegantly striking that elusive balance between heavy and beautiful. On their full-length debut for minus HEAD Records, And We Explode, Black Map charts new territory for its members and hard rock. Within a month of their first jam session, the trio hit Hellam Sound in Oakland with producer Aaron Hellam behind the board. They cut their independent Driver EP and went on to support Chevelle on tour and play various shows with the likes of ††† (Crosses), Tombs, Pelican, and Kill Devil Hill. In early 2014, they inked a deal with minus HEAD. Now, they're primed to make a massive impact. Theh have a new release out now, "...AND WE EXPLODE" which is getting great fan and industry reviews. San Francisco-based band, Eyes on the Shore, takes listeners on their journey through wondrous soundscapes, explosive crescendos and heartbreaking vocals. Featuring bombastic drum and bass, washed-out surf rhythms, and Beatles-style harmonies, Eyes on the Shore delivers hard rock with delicate, reassuring hands. Lead bass riffs take on a heavy, low-end grit, while ethereal guitar melodies stand as the voice of the band; raw, bottomless vocals croon simple but intricate verses while Latin rhythms and salsa beats seamlessly slip their way into rock songs. Eyes on the Shore is currently recording and releasing a new song every month, which will make up their 2016 EP “Maestranza” released straight to vinyl this summer. The first single “Washed Away” was recently featured on the front page of Reddit.com and got the group some international recognition on YouTube and Spotify.
