Ancient Baby
-from Fairfax, CA
-Ancient Baby is an earthy, rootsy trio from Fairfax, CA.  We play songs about love, mystery, and the health of our planet. Led by Chris Peck, aka Peck the town Crier, Ancient Baby is hard at work on a debut album.

Jack O' The Clock
Damon Waitkus - vocals, guitars, hammer dulcimer
Emily Packard - violins
Jason Hoopes - bass, vocals
Jordan Glenn - drums
Ivor Holloway - saxes and clarinet
Thea Kelley - vocals
-from Oakland, CA

-Jack O' The Clock is a 5-piece art-folk band living in the East Bay Area, CA. Their music has conjured comparisons to Sufjan Stevens, Henry Cow, Frank Zappa, and Philip Glass, and the lyrics, with a penchant for outsider narratives and involute imagery, to Joanna Newsom and Fables-era R.E.M.

JACK O' THE CLOCK "presents a fine lesson on what it means to write songs that are at once approachable and human while simultaneously being incredibly profound in terms of timbre, depth of emotion, and harmonic complexity," Progulator.

Broken Shadows
Darren Johnston - trumpet/vocals plus a rotating cast of his incredibly talented and soulful friends including:
Matt Szemela - violin/vocals
Dan Cantrell - accordion/vocals
Ila Cantor - guitar/vocals
Dave MacNab/John Finkbeiner - guitar
David Phillips - pedal steel guitar
Doug Stuart/Miles Wick - bass
Hamir Atwal/Jordan Glenn - drums
and more....
-from the Bay Area, CA

-With songs that place an emphasis on lyrics and story-telling, and with world class instrumental playing that prizes spontaneity and dialogue, this highly adaptable collection of musicians under the leadership of trumpeter/composer Darren Johnston brings poetry, interplay, vocal harmonies, and a cross section of musical interests into a curious new blend of roots/art/dance music that defies category.

Collectively members have played and recorded with Electric Squeezebox Orchestra, Quartet San Francisco, Fred Frith, Meklit Hadero, Joanna Newsom,The Nice Guy Trio, Berkeley Symphony, Bono, ROVA Sax Quartet, Rupa and The April Fishes, Brass Menazeri Balkan brass band, Todd Sickafoose, Marcus Shelby Orchestra, and many others.
