Message Of Love
Tom Ayres, Prairie Prince, Angelina Moysov
-from the Bay Area, CA

-A very personal tribute to Hendrix:
Tom Ayres - guitar. My original idea was to pay tribute over the next 4 years during the 50th Anniversary of Hendrix's live performances, to what I feel is the forgotten plus of Hendrix's contribution to live shows - the element of danger. Of course there are so many elements to his performances: the rendition of the moment, his mood, his state of mind, who really knows how sensitive he was and how much things affected him? My regret in life is I cannot walk into a venue where he is playing and experience "The Experience". So, humbly, I must do it for myself.

Drums - Prairie Prince. Two beautiful words to any musician/music lover that's heard him with The Tubes, Todd Rundgren, XTC, Dukes Of The Stratosphere, Chris Isaak, Brian Eno, David Byrne, Tom Waits, Paul Kantner, George Harrison, Dick Dale, Glenn Frey..... I met him when I was in Persephone's Bees opening up for The New Cars. I think he would be happy to tell you that his fav rock drummer when he was a lad was Mitch Mitchell, Hendrix's drummer.

Bass - Angelina Moysov. The very first band I was in with Angelina was called "Angelina's Bass Lessons" as she had expressed a desire to learn the bass. What transpired was she became my favorite bass player! Singer/Songwriter/Inspiration for the band Persephone's Bees, Angelina is much more and beyond categories - a huge talent, and more fun to look at!

Ardent Sons
Tony Sales-Drums, Vocals, Misisipi Mike Wolf-Guitar, Vocals, Dave Flores-Keys, Vocals
Mike Anderson-Bass, Will Hendrix, Bass, Kevin T. White-Bass
-from Oakland, S.F., CA

-The brain child of Tony Sales and Mike Wolf, Ardent Sons began as a shared love of 60's RnB and Soul by the likes of Joe Tex, Sam and Dave, The Staple Singers and Little Richard. Sales and Wolf recruited Kevin White (Chuck Prophet), and Dave Flores (Midnight Gamblers), and together they found a sound as much rooted in the grind of the MC5 as in the voodoo of Dr. John, a line that connects the legacy of Stax and Muscle Shoals to the blue eyed RnB of the Small Faces and The Box Tops. Its a fresh sound for fresh people. So, get ready.

Taylor & The Pretty Noises
JOEL ALAN TAYLOR
SEBASTIAN STRUGHOLTZ
COLE BAILEY
-from Lancaster, PA/San Francisco, CA
-"Taylor and The Pretty Noises are intent on playing rock n' roll that is fresh, fun and powerful. Taylor's songs are centered on witty lyricism and a contempt for pop song structure, along with a love of fuzz and melody."
