The Chicago-based quintet have proved they have a good sense of humor and bring a high energy attitude to their on-stage performances. The Beach Boys-influenced indie rockers released their latest EP, Young Men, in December of 2015 and plan to release their first full length LP in 2017. The band also doubles as a minor league baseball team.

-Summer Salt is a rock’n’roll three-o of best pals. With influences of bossa nova and oldies, we create the perfect soundtrack for chillaxin’ by the pool. Matt has the voice of an angel, Eugene has that in-the-pocket drummin', and Phil’s bass is funny.
"'Manastra' provides that pleasant sound for ever lasting holidays that melt the malaise of the mundane and the fixations from the school/work weeks into the relaxed ether." - Impose Magazine
"It’s a gentle vibe of what it might sound like had Ben Watt fronted Yo La Tengo instead of Everything But the Girl. A perfect blend of guitar with light reverb, Bossanova rhythms, and just enough of one foot in the past while remaining somehow current." - God is in the TV
"Smooth of tongue and lush of sound, the track is an elegant strut that positively shines from within, casting the kind of swooning golden touch that defeats dullness with a simple wave of the hand." -Gold Flake Paint
