Their new single “What Can I Do If The Fire Goes Out?” is a relentlessly driving anthem that bodes well for the follow-up to their 2015 debut The Positions. “Do I throw my clothes in the fire?/ Do I throw my hopes in the fire?” lead singer David Le’aupepe asks in desperation, his voice grandly emotive. He feels misunderstood, but is still holding onto hope of eventually stumbling on the right path. There’s no certainty of what lies ahead, with Le’aupepe anxious if the motivation to keep looking on will last. But across five minutes of restorative guitars and hurdling drums, the band finds peace in the panic. Listen and check out the band’s upcoming tour dates below. . Superet - Superet is a band. Parkway Russell Arteaga, drums, Jeremiah Johnson, bass, Saagar Kurani, guitar Kate Lewis, vocals and synth, Jordan Shapiro, guitar -from Oakland, CA -Parkway has been described as the tone between shoegaze and new wave, perhaps dubbing the yet to be defined shoewave. It's indie rock with a swirl of guitars that can go from ethereal to assault in the blink of an eye added to stunning vocals and haunting melodies that have a slight pop sensibility. |
