Stitched Up Heart Mixi - Vocals, Decker - Drums Merritt - Guitar, Randy - Bass, Nick - Guitar -from Hollywood, CA -"Listen to the lyrics, they're going to make you feel something... " - Mixi That something is the essence of Stitched Up Heart - a band built around the strength that comes from realizing we are the only ones that control our lives, and focused on the hope that reminds us there is always light at the end of the darkest tunnel. It's something heavy and powerful, jarring the album's epic closing track "I Can't Breathe" from a piano-paced ballad that would do Lady Gaga proud, to a metallic onslaught of drop-tuned guitars that is sure to see the band sharing a stage with the hardest of their hard rock peers. And it is something undeniable, Mixi's voice taking flight amidst anthems of self-awareness that bridge the unrelenting confidence of In This Moment's Maria Brink and the soulful transcendence of Adele. Whether we're ducking and dodging life's often cruel barrage, embracing a moment of calm at the center of a storm, or simply looking for the strength to make it through the day, Stitched Up Heart have delivered the soundtrack for a life worth living... Turn it up, because we are never alone. Hell Or Highwater Brandon Saller- Vocals Kyle Rosa- Drums Joey Bradford- Guitar Jon Hoover- Guitar Nick Maldonado- Bass/Synth -from Orange County, CA -For years, Brandon Saller has played drums and delivered the clean vocals for Atreyu, but the musician has also launched another band called Hell or Highwater in recent years that already have a well-received full-length and an EP under their belt. With a break in Atreyu’s schedule, Saller is once again turning his attention to Hell or Highwater, and we’ve got the premiere of their brand new song “I Want It All” right here at Loudwire. “This song is for the fed up. For the underdog. Rise up and take what’s yours. I don’t want mediocrity. I don’t want to be ‘ok.’ I want it ALL!,” Saller tells us of the track, which can be heard in the player below. The song itself has a killer low end to start off with, proving to be the perfect compliment to the driving guitar parts. Once the vocals kick in, Saller is backed by a pretty cool ascending and descending guitar line giving additional depth and atmosphere to his vocal. By the time the chorus takes hold, the emotion and immediacy of the message comes through in Saller’s no-holds-barred delivery: “I want it all / All you’ve got to give / I want it all / Gimme all of it.” “I Want It All” will be featured on Hell or Highwater’s Vista album, which is set to drop on May 19 via Spinefarm. Stay tuned for pre-order details. You can look for Hell or Highwater back on tour this spring. They were recently announced as one of the support acts on Nothing More‘s spring headline tour. Sutrero Bob Nick: Vocals, Guitar Braden Towne: Bass, Backing Vocals Todd J. Collins: Drums -from San Francisco, CA -I call it Heavy Metal. Some might call it hard rock. Whatever label, it's extremely loud, and at times it's very dark. Sometimes short and to the point, other times taking many turns. - |
