We played two nationwide tours with Shane MacGowan, did a few 2FM Fanning sessions. With 2004 came the trip across the Atlantic to edge of the Pacific and San Francisco. Russ Tolman Robert Lloyd, Kirk Swan, Dave Drewry, David Provost, and Russ Tolman -from Californi-yay! -As the son of a rancher and a former burlesque dancer, folk rock singer/songwriter Russ Tolman grew up in California and Arizona with a romantic view of the American West. Whether images of the open range of the cowboy, the hobo jungle of skid row, or the cross-country adventure of Kerouac's On The Road, Tolman held a fascination with the freedom and promise of the West. In the works is a new album for 2017 that Tolman describes as being inspired by and evocative of the great '60s-'70s Laurel Canyon singer/songwriter scene."I want to write a final love letter to Los Angeles," says Tolman, who has his sights next on New York City. Whether tender acoustic ballads or blistering rock guitar rave-ups, Russ Tolman has crafted some of the most literate and memorable music in underground rock. So buckle up, throw it in gear, put your foot on the accelerator, and hit the road with Russ Tolman. Count Vaseline Stefan Murphy as The Count + occasional collaborators + some minor technology -from Atlanta, GA -Count Vaseline is an alternative rock project founded in 2016 by songwriter, musician and producer ’Stefan Murphy’ during a creative spell in Berlin Germany. Following only a handful of live appearances in Germany, Count Vaseline decamped to the US to begin working on what would quickly become his first album ‘Yo No Soy Marinero’. The narrative of the record is very personal and details a difficult phase in Murphy’s life and creativity as well as a celebration of his trials and tribulations in Berlin. |
