Now based solely in San Francisco, the band moved far beyond its modest 4-track beginnings with the 2015 release of their debut 7” single, Oakland (included in the Bay Bridged Best of 2016) and the followup EP, Dog Save the Scene. With a reputation for high-energy live shows and songwriting that can swing from aggressive guitar hooks to delicate melodies in a matter of seconds, Schlotman has quickly gained a dedicated following in the Bay Area. The band's second EP, On a Rope, was produced by Brandon Eggleston (The Mountain Goats, Modest Mouse) and released in February 2017. Tracked at John Vanderslice's Tiny Telephone Recording in San Francisco and mixed at Eggleston's home studio in Portland, On a Rope finds Schlotman continuing to extend their reach even further towards both sides of the dynamic spectrum. Drawing from a range of genres and musical backgrounds from show tunes to punk rock, brothers Lucas and Jake Nevrla, along with honorary sibling Jordon Darula, are striving to create sounds that are both challenging and yet familiar, intense and yet comforting. Schlotman is currently at work on a full length to be released in summer 2018. Chron -from San Francisco, CA -Chron was formed in San Francisco in 2016 to birth a musical experience founded on the individual members broad musical tastes and shared distaste for authority. Drawing on their combined knowledge of the intricacies of heavy rock, Chron's palette encompasses melodic post prog ambiance, smoke laced stoner rock riffs, and aggressive punk licks. Sick Pigeon David Saenz Jack Kertzman Nathan Winter The Pigeon Federico Tezzon -from Tenderloin, SF, CA -Sick Pigeon is an original punk band from San Francisco formed in January of 2015. Their 12 song debut album was recorded at Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District. Sick Pigeon was built on friendship, frustration, and an undying love for punk music. Miss Ellipsis Lucas Fendert, guitar/vox matt horton - guitar fabrizio incerti - drums/vox spencer owings - bass/vox -from San Francisco, CA -Elipsis is a group of Bay Area natives who strive to bring elements of driving psychedelic rock and shoe gaze together to create a sonic journey that is as beautiful, sporadic, melancholy, and unexpected as life itself. |
