Both accomplished songwriters and front musicians in their own right, Walters and Sky met and immediately began working together in 2014. The blending of Sky’s driving guitar work with Walter’s soaring vocals creates a dynamic musical landscape evoking old San Francisco, blending sophisticated musical themes with raw vulnerability. L&K spent the past year recording their self-produced, critically acclaimed debut album Promised Land, which they released this past fall. Promised Land follows journeys across the country, personal heartbreak, spiritual encounters, and denial of the inevitable ~ the gentrification and loss of their Promised Land, San Francisco. Recorded at various studios in the San Francisco Bay, including the famed Tiny Telephone Studios and hailed by SF Sonic Music Magazine as ‘one of the most enjoyable listens of the year’, L&K’s Promised Land skillfully balances the sound of old-school counterculture with the presence and clarity of modern rock and roll. Steakhouse Reid Black - guitar, voice Mark Sullivan - piano/organ, voice Brian Michaelson - drums Ville Vilpponen - bass -from San Francisco, CA -Steakhouse is a rock group from San Francisco, California. Their music sounds like a mix of post-punk, kraut and art rock, with little bits of country/ western thrown in at all the wrong times. They are influenced by Neu!, Johnny Cash, Rank & File, Scott Walker and The Clash. They have headlined big clubs in San Francisco but have yet to play a single rodeo. All the members of Steakhouse are veteran musicians. Jeffrey Luck Lucas Jeffrey Luck Lucas, Justin Frahm, James Finch Jr., Rusty Miller -from San Francisco, CA - Born, raised, and "lowered" in Indiana, West Texas, and Los Angeles respectively, Jeffrely Luck Lucas is known as a "musician's musician" and one of San Francisco's best kept secrets.
