-from Indianapolis, IN

-Chin Up, Kid was formed in 2013 by Cheyenne Smith. They shortly after released their debut EP, “Home Advantage”. They showed success throughout playing many shows in Indiana including their local stop of the 2015 Vans Warped Tour. In 2016, the band again self released another EP titled, “The Way You Live Is Common”. After a few lineup changes, Chin Up, Kid began writing for what would become their full length label debut, “Swing With Your Eyes Closed”. “Swing With Your Eyes Closed” was released April 28 on Standby Records followed by a headlining tour. Chin Up, Kid charted at #121 on the New Artist Billboard Chart following its release and the tour.

First in Flight
Pat McCloskey | David Topete | Richard Mier | Max Huss
-from Milpitas, CA

-At the end of 2015, best friends Richard Mier (lead guitar) and David Topete (bass) looked at each other during a Walk the Moon concert and said “we can do this”. After weeks of jamming in their gear stuffed rooms, they teamed with drummer Max Huss, who jumped over from David's brothers band, and found singer/songwriter Pat McCloskey through Craigslist (I know right?). Hailing from Chicago with a pretty falsetto and stories of too many bizarre nights, Pat brought the pop dynamic the band needed to project their neo-80s rock into the modern age. On September 1st 2016, the band was officially formed. With their new found chemistry, the band quickly began polishing their songs for the stage and studio. Their goal was simple: make the tracks for your party/kickback/heartbreak playlist. Their debut EP “HOLD ON THE HIGHS” was released January 6th and they look forward to tour the Western Part of the US in 2017.

Septacy
Nick Redmond
Jason Bolich
Ricky Marasigan
Justin Vanegas
Zach Ellis
-from Oakland, CA

-Septacy is a 5-piece progressive rock band hailing from Oakland, California that- much like fellow Bay Area natives Green Day and Metallica before them- aim to carve their own unique path through the larger music scene. Their sound can be described as both melodious and chaotic, a dichotomy they fully embrace in their songwriting and on the stage. Indeed, the band's first full-length record entitled "Bookends" seems to defy the notion of genre with its massive 14 song track list and sounds ranging from Latin inspired jazz, to hardcore punk. The second single from the album, "The Clouds Above the Giving Tree" could be described as the former of these, boasting a danceable groove from drummer Jason Bolich and bassist Justin Vanegas for most of its run-time, before devolving into an intense saxophone-led breakdown at its conclusion. (Performed by guest musician Michael J. Booker).

 Of their live performance, Lindsey Marshall of "Lindsey's Untitled Rock Mag" has said;
"They're a lot of fun onstage... These guys could totally be playing bigger shows or getting signed soon. They have the talent for it."
