As a teenager, she played in various rock bands, and was influenced by artists like Britney Spears, Metallica, Queen and Motley Crue. She began writing songs in college in an effort to capture the fast-paced lifestyle brought on by her new experiences. Now based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Shaynie Rhoads plays throughout the local scene to continue sharing music from her recently-released, untamed debut EP, "Dynamite." Armed with a guitar and a dream, Shaynie Rhoads is out there proving to the world that girls rock. Lindsay Alexis -from Oakland, CA - Folk and blues crooner, Lindsay Alexis has lugged her guitar and trombone from San Diego to Sacramento singin her big ol' heart out. You might hear a love song she wrote for her bicycle or a damning tribute to the terrible, awful, no-good, dirty, rotten boss she had. Whatever mood you get from her, there's sure to be curious chord changes, soaring melodies, and a touch of quirk. This show will be celebrating the debut of her first solo album Hold Steady, a project that took five years in the making. If that doesn't call for a drink or two, I don't know what does. Alia Faye -from Antioch, CA -My name is Alia Faye. I am a Singer Songwriter based out of the San Fransisco Bay Area. Writing since I was 12 year old, I considered myself more of a song writer and was nervous to perform my work. But when you love something, you have to get out and show it. I decided to dive out of my comfort zone and begin sharing my stories and experiences, captured and preserved by lyrics and melody. Music is all about connection. To be able to share and relate life experiences brings us closer together. My goal as a musician is to challenge not only myself, but the listener to reflect on the message of the song and apply it to their past or present situations. I hope my chill-vibed Coffee House Pop will be able to transport us to that location of reflection and connection.
