Shutups brand of punk can be described as pop songs decimated by feedback and endless riffage, pulling influences equally from ABBA as they do from Fugazi. In their first two years of playing together, Mia and Hadley released 3 EPs, the third of which was released through Astro Lizard Records. Shutups continued by recording and releasing their 4th EP “The Fourth EP By Shutups” in a single month, via Dumptruck Press in June of 2018. The band spent the last two years assembling their debut LP, Every Day I’m Less Zen (prod. By Cody Votolato of The Blood Brothers) to be released July 2019. Shit Giver -from Los Angeles, CA -Shit Giver is a paisley goth trio from Los Angeles. Their 2017 debut album, Life..., was once aptly described as sounding "like the Wipers on Creation Records". The passage of time has found them delving deeper into the introspective anthemic realms of luminaries such as The Chameleons, The Church, and The Sound. They're touring the west coast in May 2019 in anticipation of the release of a second full-length album later in the year. Opinions members of Unconditional Arms -from Los Angeles, CA -Opinions started as Randy Staat's instrumental laptop demos, collaborating with vocalist Nik O'Hara. After releasing a demo in late 2017, the band formed from a group of close friends out of Oakland and LA. Influenced by post-punk records and inspired by many trips up and down Highway 5- |
