Reverend Baron
-from Cali-Texas

-Best-known as the co-founder and frontman for shape-shifting heartland indie rockers Delta Spirit, Matthew Logan Vasquez’s fiery delivery and thought-provoking lyrics draw from a huge and versatile well of influences, including Gram Parsons, Kurt Cobain, Neil Young, and Iggy Pop. As a solo artist, he juggles elements of indie rock, electronic pop, R&B, and soulful Americana, flirting with despondency, but ultimately succumbing to beatitude, especially on 2017’s home recorded, yet vibrant sophomore effort, Does What He Wants.

After releasing Delta Spirit’s critically acclaimed fourth studio album, Into the Wide, in 2014, Vasquez moved with his wife and newborn son to Austin, Texas and began working on what would become his debut solo outing. The resulting Austin EP, which finds Vasquez manning every instrument and offering up a blistering set of outlaw psych rock, arrived in 2015, with plans to issue his debut long-player, Solicitor Returns, in early 2016. In January 2017, Vasquez issued “Same,” the driving single from his sophomore solo outing Does What He Wants, which arrived later that April. The following year saw Vasquez release the EP Texas Murder Ballads. Recorded at home in Austin, it was meant to serve as a teaser for his forthcoming third long-player MLVIII. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi

Walker Lukens
-from Austin, TX
-Walker Lukens has been called ‘one of the best songwriters in Texas’. The Austin-based, Houston-bred singer, multi-instrumentalist has been called ‘wonderfully inventive’, a ‘non-sexually intimidating version of Prince’, and a ‘veteran balladeer with sudden indie rock ambitions’. Walker thinks it’s important that you realize his name is not Walter.

In 2013, he released his first full length record, Devoted. It received praise from outlets like NPR’s All Songs Considered, American Songwriter, Austin American Statesman, Austin Chronicle, and Billboard and took Lukens and his backing band, The Side Arms, all over the US.

After meeting Spoon drummer Jim Eno in a bar, Walker & The Side Arms started recording new music at with him at his studio, Public Hi-Fi. Their first collaboration, ‘Every Night,’ has been streamed almost a million times now. Their second collaboration, ‘Lifted’ from Never Understood EP spent 8 weeks on the specialty commercial radio charts. Another EP, Ain't Got A Reason, soon followed in April of 2017 and garnered Walker spots at festivals across the country like Bonnaroo, Firefly, Austin City Limits Festival, Free Press Summerfest, Middle of the Map, Underground Music Showcase.

PR Newman
-from Austin, TX
-So, how on earth did the moniker “PR Newman” surface, in which the “PR” doesn’t even refer to someone’s name, or the fact that it might be a public relations business? The story is far more interesting than that; he earned the nickname “Punkrock Randy Newman” from a gent named Grimey, proprietor of The Basement in Nashville, when Garland was still playing keys for the Berkshire Hounds. Spot on. Garland thought it’d be the perfect name for a solo project.

After making music under other assorted names, PR Newman became the one and only, with Brendan Bond (A Sinclair), Jordan Cook (Warren Hood, BloodPumps), and Z Lynch (Leopold and His Fiction) jumping on late last year to form his live band.  Born from a lifetime of solo test runs, former Hounds’ front-man, Matthew Logan Vasquez (Delta Spirit)’s guitar and keys live band, a new flurry of tunes on debut “Turnout” released early this year, displays his most recent and focused material after years away from the writing game.”
