Bars of Gold
Ben Audette/Brandon Moss/John Gaviglio/
Marc Paffi/Nick Jones/Scotty Iulianelli
-from Ferndale, MI

-4 parts Wildcatting, 2 parts Bear vs Shark = BARS OF GOLD. Bars of Gold's debut album took Wildcatting's initial raucous tidal waves and focused them, sluicing the gnarly guitar hooks and spasmodic percussive explosions into a more melody-conscious rock 'n' roll, still flitted with flexing guitar roars and jittery rhythms, but now lead by Paffi's imposing and inspiring, throaty yowl.

Mini and the Bear
mini - drums //
Bear - bass // everyone - vox
-from San Francisco, CA

-Brand management: It’s not just a job, it’s a lifestyle.  Which means it’s extra challenging when you’re managing a lifestyle brand.  Just ask San Francisco power volume duo mini and the Bear.  What began as as a musical genre morphed into the band’s 2016’s multi-media release PWR VOL, a novella written by bassist Nick Scandy with an accompanying musical score by the band.  2018 saw the band release their camaraderie-themed double cassingle Heavy Jams / Heavier Friendship, which serendipitously happened to coincide with their appearance on Wheel of Fortune’s Best Friends Week. (Third place!)  Fast forward to 2019 and mini and the Bear now offers their signature PWR VOL distortion pedal, designed by drummer Aaron Eash and featuring case art by longtime illustrator pal Aaron Zonka.  Contrary to all those other pedals out there that give you infinite possibilities with their silly knobs, the PWR VOL pedal gives you a single, fixed tone.  The best tone.  The right tone.  Live powerfully, voluminously.  PWR VOL.

The Brankas
Taylor McElroy - Drums/Synth
Theo Slavin - Guitar/Vocals
-from San Francisco, CA

-The Brankas are an experimental punk duo from San Francisco, CA. The band was formed in 2014 by Theo Slavin (guitar & vocals) and Taylor McElroy (drums & synthesizer) and they have since fine-tuned an asymmetrical style focused around start/stop dynamics, odd time signatures, and off kilter pop. Their ensuing records (2016’s Exchanges EP & Identical Tentacles EP and 2017’s “My Parkour Body…”) would certainly be at home with fans of The Locust, Tera Melos & Deerhoof, as well as in collections featuring Black Moth Super Rainbow or This Heat.
Their latest full length, “My Parkour Body Is The Paint And The World Is My Canvas. I Don't See Obstacles, I See Opportunities.” is “…beautifully unhinged and cohesively clashes with itself in precisely the ways The Brankas intended… each member of the San Francisco two piece’s stellar musicianship is as noticeable as the songwriting prowess that is evident in their previous releases.” (Spencer Kilpatrick, Tahoe Onstage, 2017). The album sees the two friends finding meaning in chaos on an intentionally broken record. “All ten tracks are dedicated to sometimes electronic, sometimes just electric, and sometimes... borderline disturbing methods of experimentation. These two are here to surprise you…”
(Allie Miller, The Deli SF, 2017).
