A Tribute to the Memory and Music of Mark Zanandrea
We sadly lost one of San Francisco’s seminal garage rock musicians and all around wonderful humans in April, Mark Zanandrea. Mark played with a bunch of bands over the years including The Catheads (late 80’s), The Meices and X-Tal (90’s), (It Thing (90s’ to current) and Rue ’66. This is an event to celebrate Mark and his impact on San Francisco/Bay Area music scene. This show will feature some of his old bands and other guests musicians. All are welcome.

J. Neo Marvin
  of X-Tal
-from San Francisco, CA
-X-tal was a San Francisco-based rock band that existed under various incarnations from 1983 until 1996. Greil Marcus of the Village Voice described them as a “small-time San Francisco combo that wears their defeated leftist politics on their sleeves and can open for the Mekons without letting you forget them when the headliners come on.”

Rue 66
-from San Francisco, CA
-Rue '66 plays unique, obscure, and truly authentic French yéyé music. Drawing inspiration from Serge Gainsbourg, France Gall, Jacques Dutronc, Françoise Hardy, Gillian Hills, Michel Polnareff and groups like The Zombies, Pussycat, The Searchers, etc., Rue '66 is a nine-piece band sure to delight.
