St. Valentinez
-from San Francisco, CA
-The St. Valentinez are an R&B band and production group originally formed at the Jazz School in Berkeley, Ca. Founded in 2008, the Valentinez gained acclaim while still in high school by competing in, and winning, several battle of the bands in the Bay Area and for their high energy live performances featuring intricate arrangements and live horns. In 2014 the group expanded their reach and numbers after a majority of the group started attending Berklee College of Music and beginning to provide studio work for several artists and finding a new purpose as a production team. Now in 2019 with around a dozen members across the country, the Valentinez return to the stage with new music ready to share their live show with audiences again.

Frak
-from San Francisco, CA
-Frak is a rapper from the Bay Area. A songwriter, battle rapper, producer, and music video director, Frak's art is intersectional between all these mediums. His music videos give a new layer to his music, and his rap battles give a new peephole to his personality. His mixtape Bagels was named one of SF Weekly's top local hip hop albums and has over 200,000 plays online. His music videos for Small Talk, Delusional Rapper & Draymond off his new album have all cracked 100,000 views, and the latter even got a shoutout from Draymond Green himself.

Known for his freestyle skills, Frak started at 15 as the Bay Area MC Olympics champion, and since has been battling from Canada to the UK at events like Tourettes without Regrets and King of the Dot. In his spare time, he works with youth for an organization called Youth Speaks, teaching hip-hop writing and freestyling around the Bay. You can catch him live, as he has performed along such artists as Kendrick Lamar, Earth Wind & Fire, Anderson Paak, Shad, Travis Scott, Mistah Fab and Watsky.

ANML PLNT
-from Oakland, CA
-The members of the rap group ANML PLNT (Apes and Pass) have adopted an old-school sound with far-from-basic raps, and a message behind their music that pays homage to the Town’s past and present culture with a nod to the fear of what the future might bring.  Pass (aka Passwurdz) has traveled the world making a name for himself in the world of Battle Rap and has appeared on King of the Dot, Ultimate Rap League, and other platforms. Apes, originally a painter/muralist, developed a passion for song writing during his high school years and delivers intense conceptual lyrics and eerie funk melodies with his stories of East Oakland. Their DJ, Backwood Onedr, is revered in the Bay Area community as not only a tastemaker for parties/events, but also as a battle-tested and technically advanced DJ.

Basi
-from Oakland, CA
-Obasi creates for the people who believe in their own power and in their ability to create the conditions they need to thrive. “I believe in the transformative power of music and I want mine to be a vehicle for change and self - actualization.” says Davis, a 23 year-old Hip Hop artist and designer from Oakland California. He named his brand “Basi” because he is a truth seeker. He creates to pierce the veil and reveal the facade, while still retaining his spirit.

As a child Obasi began his creative journey writing and performing poetry around the country and eventually the world. Throughout highschool Basi traveled to places like; Sacramento, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Calgary, London and Paris, to perform his poetry.  After becoming the youth poet laureate for the city of Oakland in 2013, Obasi went on to the University of Wisconsin Madison where he began transforming his skill with words into music.

Currently, Basi is gearing up for his first official release, an EP with renowned Oakland artist and producer, Drew Banga. The EP, titled “Shake The Scene”, will be released through Text Me Records and will feature some of Basi’s favorite collaborators and musicians from Oakland to Chicago. “I am a product of Oakland CA and the African Diaspora. I make music I can see myself in that is life affirming and encourages manifestation. My songs are personal mantras that get me through my life, one day I want someone else to say it gets them through theirs as well.” - Basi
