The Hot Lunch 13th Anniversary Party
on Friday the 13th
hard rock skate punk
heavy rock n roll
Owl ---------- Cronander are off the bill
sludge, grunge, metal, and stoner rock
-from San Francisco, CA
-Bay Area punk 'n' roll / proto-metal bruisers Hot Lunch dish up kick-your-teeth-in jams straight from the Detroit school of raw power! The group's supercharged, powerfully energetic, no-nonsense rock n’ roll will slap you across the mouth like a stiff shot of bourbon. With its new LP, 'Seconds', Hot Lunch is on a hell-bent mission to create the best party soundtrack in the history of all music. Integrating a more mystical and psychedelic side to its high voltage, fuzz-filled, stone cold jams, 'Seconds' captures the band's hot-as-hell on-stage energy and is an ass-kicking tour-de-force that weaponizes Hot Lunch as noisy rock insurrectionists for these molten, modern times. This is a gloriously thunderous album that refuses to be played quietly. Fuck the cold leftovers, it's time for some scorching Hot Lunch!.
"A blast of 60's acid rock seemingly unearthed after decades of rock 'n' roll mediocrity necessitated its rebirth" – Thrasher Magazine
"A glorious tangle of sixties style psych, eighties punk rock, hairy fuzzy proto-metal and seriously shredding guitar mastery" – Aquarius Records

-from San Francisco, CA
-The once fruitful rock n' roll city of San Francisco is now a barren womb, fraught with the lasting effects of technological herpes. Thankfully a polyp known as Banquet has formed and is screeching for freedom from the womb's clutches. With dual ripping lead guitars, howling vocals and a rhythm section that can make a pregnant woman's water break
K. Baechle, Axell Baechle, Clint Baechle, Magic Spiegel
-from Oakland, CA
-Owl was originally hatched in 2007, when the youngest Baechle brother, Axell, sprang from an egg (aged 13 years already and with a Gibson Les Paul in his hands) and began to compose original songs in the style of classic heavy metal (BlackZeppelinBudgieLizzyMotorVenomRamones). The middle brother K, disturbed from his book by the noise, soon decided to join in, adding his Fender Stratocaster, supernatural songwriting, composition and vocal skills to the mix. The Holy Trinity finally came together at Christmas 2009, when oldest brother Clint was summoned away from a three month tour with some other band. The trio met at the Baechle family mountain aerie, high in the Sierra Mountains, and the demo tape was recorded (Clint on drums). The demo was circulated, with some critical acclaim, and much curiosity as to the real age and relationship of the band members. Unable to procure a fourth sibling to complete the lineup of the band, the brothers adopted an African child named Melanie to be their bass player and sister in March of 2011. The Stone Loner seven inch was recorded soon after. The band picked up steam, playing gigs around the Bay Area, and lumbering drunkenly up the West Coast for the first time in August 2011. In August and September 2013 the band toured the West Coast and Southwest United States, and in November and December they toured Europe for the first time. In January 2014, Jamie Sanitate became the bass player. The second album, Screech was released on cassette and digital in late 2014, and on a deluxe gatefold LP by Hardvaark Records in early 2016. 2018 saw the release of two new songs, the Awaken / Jupiterian single, the addition of Magic Spiegel on bass guitar, and the first full US tour since 2012!
