Rubber Tramp is rope swings, road trips, and sex. Gospel of the West, garage-made salvation, uncontrollable frolicking. Josiah Johnson Josiah Johnson -from Oakland, CA -Josiah is best known for being a founding member of The Head and the Heart. He took a break from that work a few years ago to learn how to live more wholly integrated and to work with and through problems with addictions. His expanding solo creations are transcendent, healing folk songs. Deep and soulful ballads that paint the imagination with rich and emotional landscapes of love, loss and transformation. Josiah's solo performances highlight a stripped down, emotive, lyrics-and-voice-first kind of song craft, inimitable in its sincerity and beauty, with the powerful joy of singing together. The Live Oaks ~ Evan Lanam -from San Francisco, CA -The Live Oaks are a Nationally emerging Americana band from the San Francisco, Bay Area. Norman Greenbaum, creator of the hit song, Spirit in the Sky stated recently after a show with the Live Oaks, "These guys are really good, remind me of my own bands growing up". San Francisco rock & roll mixed with soul, rhythm & blues with country songwriting foundations. Like Bob Dylan and the band, mixed with Creedence Clearwater. This band can take any crowd and figure out a way make a great night out of it. The group, lead by drummer/singer/songwriter Evan Lanam, has been touring extensively the last 3-4 years and have been opening for notable acts touring through the Bay Area. Recently helped sell out premier venues in San Francisco, both the Rickshaw Stop with Larkin Poe, and The Independent with Sweet Plot, and recently opened for Norman Greenbaum. Keep them on your radar, The Live Oaks have a new album coming this spring... |
