Big Bite Allen Trainer - Drums Erica Miller - Bass/Vocals Graham Baker - Guitar Matthew Berry - Guitar/Vocals -from Seattle, WA -Channeling their hometown's rich history of alternative guitar music, Seattle's Big Bite first made a name for themselves with the release of their eponymous debut in 2018. Formed in 2014 by Matt Berry (vocals, guitar), Graham Baker (guitar), Erica Miller (bass), and Allen Trainer (drums), each member had already played a part in the West Coast's music scene after being in bands such as Versing, Happy Diving, and Casual Hex. Apart from the obvious hometown comparisons, the group also brought in the sound of shoegaze, channeling My Bloody Valentine and Swervedriver's swirling guitar lines and hushed, buried vocals. After the release of their 2014 demo, the group put out their debut single, 2015's "I Don't Think So." Two tour tapes followed in 2016 and 2017 before the band issued their self-titled full length on Pop Wig in 2018. That same year saw them out on tour with the likes of Nothing and Swirlies, as well as playing numerous headline shows. The following year the band returned to the studio with Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Jeff Rosenstock) to record their sophomore release. The album, Trinity, came out at the end of 2019 and the group embarked on a headline U.S. tour. ~ Rich Wilson, Rovi World Smasher Colin Burris Jacob Breeze Ryan Andersen Hannah Valente Clark Todd -from San Francisco, CA - |
