Kamikaze Palm Tree
Dylan Hadley & Cole Berliner
-from San Francisco, CA

-Kamikaze Palm Tree originally became friends after participating in a medical study at the age of 11. Shortly thereafter, they began playing music together. Their early bands featured a mix of original tunes and covers of well-known staples like “Red Dragon” and “Give Me the Bag.”

Kamikaze Palm Tree’s sound is difficult to describe. They have been compared to Royal Trux, Lightning Bolt, the Residents, and Lil Dowager. Texture and dynamics are fundamental elements of their compositions, as well as a tension-and-release interplay of melody and noise. In the past, Kamikaze Palm Tree has frequently performed with guest artists—including a harp player, a saxophonist, live dancers, and dog balloons.

Kamikaze Palm Tree has performed with the likes of Ty Segall, White Fence, Wand, and Gang of Four among others, at venues such as The Chapel, The Regent Theater, The New Parish, and Trans-Pecos. Their music is available on Bandcamp and Spotify, with their most recent album “Good Boy” released under Muddguts Records in 2019. "

-From the Copper Copter to the Copper Stage, we are all Copper Guards. The threesome construct danceable post-punk without the use of guitars, but they clearly have the energy of a rock group.
