Having played in a handful of savage punk bands and achieving a degree of notoriety in the infamous Butch Nasty & the Blackout Kids, the boys wanted to continue playing together but were getting tired of the overdoses and arrests that go hand in hand with the punk scene. They wanted a band with enough bite to be meaningful which wouldn't scare their mothers away. So they came up with The Helltones, a band which efffortlessly walks the line between the sultry and the savage. After toying around with a few different lineups, the group took on its current form with Shane Lawton on bass, Nathan Moody on lead guitar, and the sirens Kyle Deboef and Victoria Seppe singing backup. They've been moving audiences all around the greater Bay Area ever since, playing at mainstays like Bottom of the Hill, the Starline, and Eli's Mile High Club. Now two and a half albums deep, their sound has matured into a toe-tapping, hip-swaying coil of smoke that is guaranteed to melt the hearts and faces of any audience. Electric Vibe -from Oakland, CA -Alternative indie rock band Electric Vibe originally started in 2017 as a recording project for Oakland based musician Harry Kim. Collaboration with lead guitarist Nate Tang would further solidify their sound by a mutual love for bands such as Television and Little Joy. With the addition of local drummer Chris Chun and bassist Aris Lopez they started performing live in and around the Bay Area and its neighboring cities. Daniel Worden would later replace Aris Lopez as bassist and they began working on their first EP. The band recorded a 4 song EP with Oakland audio engineer and local rock veteran JT at his home studio. In the next few months they would produce the record with fellow audio wizard Kirk Jacob. Once the final masters were done with Andrew Oswald, "Moonlander" EP was released in Sept 2019. After a few string of local shows Electric Vibe went back into the drawing board to start working on their first full length LP along with a new lineup change during the global pandemic of 2020.
